Just make few rating here and no any problem. I believed that you having this problem because of the daily limitation set by mylot. Try it on the next day and see whether it works or not

cyrus123 according to the new mylot rule you can only rate
any one person 11 times in one day so as to cut down on the trolls that were taking people's tens way downto fives. so that is probably what happen to you. you went past the 11,so tomorrow you'will be able to rate again.

thats interesting as I havent noticed but my time her has been limited and I have only been getting back to mylotting twice a day now.. I get some time while my son is in school --so basically in the mornings and I try to get back after dinner now for a bit to see if I can get some catching up to do.
I will pay attention from now on..but I think it is good that you asked this question since it may help some of us out as things have been changing a bit here and there around mylot!

hello Cyrus,
I guess it's better to rate 11, rather than rate through out the whole discussions of your post and allows the troll to bring you down using the negative rating. better be safe at 11 rather than chances of being rated down completely by the troll or a disgruntled mylotter. have a great day

They are saying we can only rate one person eleven times. The twelfth time won't stick. I didn't know the rating system was being so abused. In this case, this is a good rule. It just means that I need to keep up with how often I'm rating a person. Kathy.

I haven't noticed this happening yet either but I will pay attention and see. I know that I try to remember to rate but I don't always remember so maybe I just haven't seen it yet.

Thank you for your response. One mylotter said that you can only rate a person eleven times now. That's one of Mylot's new rules. The 12th time won't stick. That means I'm going to have to start keeping up with how many times I rate a person. Kathy.

Well, am rating everyone positive as I don't wish others fail miserably here and quit. When they see their reputation increasing they are motivated to stay put and participate actively here. The rating reappear even after your rating because it gives others the opportunity to rate again.

Hi andi458! Thank you for your response. I rate very little negative. I didn't realize that they were more motivated to stay put if their reputation increases. I just hang in there no matter what. One of the other mylotters has said that you can only rate a person eleven times. The twelfth time doesn't stick. This is mylot's new rule and it's because the rating system has been so abused. Good morning, cyrus123...phew! I thought I was the only one, this has been happening to me...going back to your discussion about jury duty/power out AND it is driving me crazy! I take time, read and rate every page of every discussion I am involved in! Later that day, or a day later, I re-visit the discussion, and my ratings are all gone~~~~~~re-visit the discussion again, RATINGS GONE! I seem to be spending most of the time here, re-rating.....truly, truly frustrating...as I, too am getting no time to get involved in discussions. I thot it was my computer! Thanks for sharing! I had to have my refrigerator worked on today. If it's not one thing, it's another. It wasn't cooling like it should have been. I was very concerned because I thought I was going to have to buy a new one and I didn't know how I was going to be able to afford one. It turns out that the defrost timer wasn't working right and he's going to have to order a part for the refrigerator. He fixed the timer, btw. That refrigerator is probably about twenty years old or older. I'm just glad that it wasn't as bad as I thought it was going to be. I also was concerned about how much it was going to cost me. That wasn't too bad, either. Thank you for responding. Kathy.

hi kathy. i too have no problems rating anyone. i can rate everyone from here. as lamb had said, we are limited to a number of times we can rate one person. i am not sure about this. i rate posts too, but some times i forgot to rate. so i am not so certain about this.

Hi neildc! Thank you for responding. I'm glad you don't have any problems with this. I used to could rate everyone from here but it didn't seem to matter how many times I rated them. Evidently, this is a new rule of mylot's. It makes sense, though. I'm going to have to keep up with how many times I rate a person in a day from now on. Kathy.

I give positive ratings as well. I do like the fact though that mylot has changed it, as it was so abused before, and now we can't abuse it like before. I doubt that I even rate any one user that many times anyway, as I am all over the place in responding, so I never see the same person all that much, so I think I am safe on that score. 
I do think that rating them 11 times is quite a bit, and I feel that if they have quality posts, they deserve that much and more. I will rate others because everyone deserves at least one rating if not more. I won't rate negative, unless there are referral links posted. Otherwise it is a positive or no rating at all, if it isn't quality. Good luck to you and happy mylotting.

How are you doing, quita 88? I haven't seen you on here in a few days. I knew you were getting ready to go to Oklahoma in October, though.
Another mylotter has told me that you can only rate a person eleven times in a day on mylot now. That's one of the new rules. From now on, I'm going to make note of how many times I've rated a person in a day. Kathy.
