Do you check your food?

... By this I mean do you check your food when you leave the drive-thru? Let's say you want 3 bean burrito without cheese and with extra onions at Taco Bell. Do you check to make sure they are made right and that you have the right amount of items before leaving the drive-thru window, or do you not care so much and/or just assume the food is there the way it should be. Have you ever ordered anything and gotten the COMPLETELY wrong order handed to you? I think we all have! I know fast food places can get busy and many times they have young and inexperienced workers, so I understand to an extent, but it's still very frustrating! ... Please share your experiences.

Oh, I don't do the drive thru that much anymore as of course Thailand doesn't have one due to all the traffic jams and since we are still a developing country. I did check my food when I was at the states though as I also worked at a certain drive thru before and I know that errors can happen all the time.

Hello my friend Bethany1202 Ji, Well, sorry to dis-appoint you , but we are not in habit of taking anything outside our house. We hardly visit such places for want of hygine and also our liking differ. We do not take Onion/garlic, as such it is very difficult to find a place where these items are absent totally. In case we paln to viist I sound such request at least sufficient timeearlier that management can mange. May God bless You and have a great time.

Yes, I surely check my food most especially on drive-thru. I had an experience before that was also quite frustrating. I found out that there was something in my order that was missing. I did not bother to go back anymore since I was already far and it was really bothersome to come back.

I don't think I've done this in awhile, that is, checked an order. Usually we go inside to order the food, so we see the food being put in the bag. I think it's a good idea to check it, if not the exact food then to see if everything is in the bag. You can always call back up there to tell them you got the wrong order and they usually tell you to come back up another day if you wanted to, and they'll take your name down. A couple of days ago my mil brought home burger king but they forgot the chicken tenders. We live in a different county from where she works, so when she got home and saw that she was irritated. My husband and I went back to the county she got the food from and we told the lady at the counter "our mom just ordered this... We came from ____ county... and she didn't even argue... she looked half asleep! We asked for fresher fries. MY MIL always has to wait at that burger king forever!

yes I always check my messages foods, especially if the place is very crowded, the possibility of making happen. What we are not in accordance with the message given. I've been there and I asked for the change because it does not fit with what I order. Especially in places where fast food is usually frequent, so I would always check before you go. So my message if you order in places where fast food and do not immediately pay off, check your order first to avoid wrong and you are not disappointed happy myLot

YES YES YES i always check the food in the bag BEFORE I even pull away from the window.. A few times i as either missing something or they didnt do the order correctly or it was just a mess up.. I have ordered a few things off the menu and i specified that i wanted a plain hamburger ( no ketchup onions or mustard) when i unwrapped it all that was in the wrapping was a hamburger and a few pickles slices.. where did i say that i didnt want a bun? One time i ordered a grilled chicken salad and a filet o fish extra tarter and ranch dressing for the salad.. they gve me a grilled chicken sandwich will extra ranch instead of mayo and no fillet o fish. like seriously they printed out the recipet it states on that what i wanted it was allright when the women read it backto me...what is wrong with some people.. ?? I worked at a mcdonalds when i was younger it really isnt that hard of a job!

It is frustrating. I always try to check to see if they got my order right, but it seems the one time I don't check, I get home with something that wasn't how I wanted it. I'll say no cheese on something, and it will have cheese. And one could say, just pick it off. But it isn't that simple. The cheese is always melted on, so it's like scraping half of the food off with the cheese!

Well I check my food most of the time. And there are some times when I check my food I realize I got the wrong thing. There was one time when I was at this Chinese restaurant and ordered noodles and chicken I think. Turned out I got beef. But I enjoyed that one I had no regrets at all.

Unfortunately I usually don't check it, and then when I get home, I'm mad. I usually get the order with something missing. Then I have to drive all the way back to get it. I had a similar experience at McDonalds. I ordered a kids meal for my son and when we got home the burger was missing. I went back and handed the guy the receipt and told him the burger was missing. He said, "Hmmm, really"? He thought I was lieing and and just wanted a free burger. That made me Mad!!!!!

I always check my food, sometimes they are wrong to give the orders. At that time I was in the Japanese restaurant, and given the shrimp when I ordered chicken. I knew they were probably exhausted from serving many customers. After I complained they were very quickly replaced it with the foods I order, it was nice.

I always check the food before leaving because I fear that they might make a mistake and give me a different food. Luckily it didn't happen till now. But still I prefer checking it as it saves a lot of petrol. Because if they misplace my order then I will again have to come to them which would mean burn more fuel.

Yes. I always experience it. Whenever I have to take out foods from fast food restaurants I don't anymore check the foods I ordered. But when I got home something is always missing such as the chicken's gravy. After that I will often tell myself that next time I will really check everything before leaving. What I'm doing is that I ask the crew if it's already complete and when they said yes I won't anymore check it. Unfortunately, something is still missing, as always.

Yup. I always check my food whenever I order something. I'm not remembering the exact time but it happened with me that I have ordered something and got something else.... That was really ridiculuos....They handed me the wrong order.....And in many places where there is self service, I ordered regular pack and they handed me the large pack saying that there is a very small difference between the cost of the regular and the large one. And regular pack was not available. So I have to take the large one........

Hi, Bethany Yes, I do. We usually just go to McDonalds and before leaving I look inside the bag to check if everything is in there. Once or twice when it did not have everything, I waited patiently and the crew smiled patiently also, waiting for me to drive away We were like that for about a minute until she realized that I must have been waiting for something. Cheers!

Hi, I don't eat out. I stopped eating out 10 years ago. I saw too many reports on the news about what people were doing to the food you order. Now, I say if I can't see you making my food I can't eat it. But to answer your question, yes when I did eat out I would check my food before leaving.

Hi, this is very important to chech our food. because when you take homely food it is not fully ok but some times it will be ok for all. because in our home they prepared food some neatly but when you want to take outer food then it will not ok for you because it is not prepared neatly. so when you prefer outer food then you must check wheather it is better or not better for you then only you can check and take your food. this mannar is good for your health and me to.........

I can not count the number of times someone has messed up my order. It's not like I order anything special either. I always check my bags before I leave drive thru to make sure I have everything I have ordered. I usually order things as they are on the menu, but my hubby and boys always order only ketchup or something like that. We do not usually figure out that it is made wrong until we get home. When this happens I call the restaurant. I realize that it is usually inexperienced kids, BUT I paid them for a secific item and if I do not get it then I expect them to make it right. I mean if you buy something at the store and it doesn't work when you get ot home, you return it right? Why should food be any different?

Sometimes when I am in a hurry going to my office. I always preferred to drive-thru to a restaurant and I forgot to check what I have ordered. Sometimes I get frustrated when I saw it that it is not the food I have ordered which I expected to eat for my breakfast.
