The latest news is that relief from different countries of the world have arrive to help the victims of typhoon ondoy.
We are hoping that the government ensure that those relief from other countries will not go to the pocket of some unscrupulous person in the government because base on experience in the past there relief good from foreign countries will not go to the victims of calamity but it has pass to the hand of some powerful people from the government.
Those number of money is huge and this is dollar and millions of worth. We are fear that some government official will entice to cut those money and will be pocketed...?
I hope the government will do anything to protect this money from the International community. Because there are politicians there being hungry of money...

It is true, man. In SE Asia, whenever there is a natural disaster relief food and fund pouring in to help the victims, instead of people in need there that get all of it, usually only about less than half of those items and fund manage to reach the victims, the other half go to the soldiers, officials and politician for sales later to make profit and pocket the fund, it is a very disgusting practices used often by these corrupt officials there, make sure your people report them to the international relief monitor, if not, any good faiths from international community will be wasted and empowered more corrupter in SE Asia.

I don't know why those politicians did not encourage their self to good at all times but do evil most of the time. This is a sad thing for politicians. The United nation should handle the things and not give upon the control of government officials in country where they bring relief...

In this time of great calamity that has struck our country, only politicians, other government officials and people who have no "conscience" would try to rob the money they have received from international donors. It is much better, as the other responder has said, that food, water, clothings (those in kinds) are sent rather than money.

Look at the past incident of calamity, my friend. There are many relief coming from foreign aid but what happen. Those goods is marketed instead of deliver to the victims.
We are calling to those government officials to secure and in place those foreign aid and deliver them to victims of calamity...have a nice day!

I certainly hope not. Our fellowmen is indeed in deed agony as of now. I hope that they would get what are due to them. We have received a lot of help and its really heart warming to know that a lot of people nowadays are still willing to help. It's not time for those corrupt officials right now. Let us just put ourselves on the shoe of those who are suffering right now.
