I was talking with a person that I knew from years back today. When I asked her what she was doing now she explained to me that she works at home. She works for an Answering Service Company. That sounds like something that I would like to do. She does it right from her home and 40 Hours a week. So mylotters I need some help from you. Does anyone know anything about how to land one of these types of jobs? Any information that you have would be greatful..

Hi irefed Well the problem is that I can't find out where she lives or a phone number. I had just ran into her at the post office. I hadn't seen her in many of years. We just chat for a minute and she had to go. I didn't get anymore information other than she works for a answering service out of her home..Thanks for you comment and have a nice day.

rose, you can do a people search and find her address and phone number this way. I did this and found a friend that I lost track of over 30 years before. I just typed in the areas where we use to live, the state and city...The name and it will come up with the names that are there and the ages...then you find them from that list. I wrote to my friend and we have been in touch since. That was about 5 years ago. Good luck.

There are companies out there that do Employ people to work from home, and I actually checked into one of these some yrs. back as well. I cannot remember the name of the company, but one of them did require a home phone, etc. and you had to be able to commit to certain times you are available as well. It was for a company inputting data and taking calls for people ordering stuff off of infomercials and such. I have actually considered looking into something like this again myself.

Hi KrauseHome It's good to hear from you again. How are things going? I would like to do this as well. My husband is only getting a few hours a week now and it would help us a bunch. We are living in our camper and I want to move into a house or trailer before the real cold weather hits. Hopefully I will find something out today..Thanks for your response and you have a great day..

Hi rosepedal, will it be possible to get in touch with that person whom you met and told you about answering service job. I think that will be an interesting alternative, just to work at home. I wish you can run into her again so it will save you a lot of research to find a similar job. My daughter resigned from her med trans company and found a home based med transcription. The pay is good but it is highly technical. I will have a look at answering service job and I will let you know. I'm interested too. cheers!

Hi manong Wouldn't that be really great to get into something like that...I think it would work out prefect for me. I really can't work outside of the home and this would be the right job for me. Im going to see if I can locate the girl that was tellling me what she did. It has been years since I saw her and don't know how to get in touch with her. Thanks for your comment. Have a great day..

Hi drannhh Wouldn't that be great..I would love that too. I will try to find out how she got that kind of job. Im guessing that the company has put in another phone line for her and that is how she gets the calls. She was in a hurry and I didn't get to ask very many questions. As soon as I found out something I will let you know. Thanks for your response and have a great day..

Hi killersss Im not sure if the selling thing is really for me. I don't really like to call people and try to sell them something. I would like to have a system where they can call me for questions or something like that. I will keep looking and see what I come up with. Thanks for response and you have a great day.

That would be a good job for me too, being home bound and unable to get out and work. My daughter told me that these jobs you have to have total quiet and a head set for the phone, and it has to be a nice one that cost more. That's all I know about this.Since we live in different areas, I hope someone knows about this and we both can get the information. Thank you for starting this discussion. Also, can your old friend not help with this?

You could offer your services to places like doctor and dental offices. They often need someone to answer the phone while they are at lunch and after hours. They could forward their calls to you. I don't know about getting 40 hours a week but you could pick up an hour a day or maybe a couple hours if you could get two different offices with different lunch hours. Other than that I don't know how to get a job like that, it would be really nice though.

Yeah ladym..Just a few hours a week would be nice. I just like to bring in some more income to help with the cost of living. Plus you know that christmas shopping is just around the corner. Actually I should be doing that now..Thanks for your tips and have a great day..
