My son is only two and a half years old. He doesn't say many words at all. He had to go to the hospital yesterday to have an eye test. It was such fun. The optician showed him so very fun sort of toys and some pictures that were either high or low. My son did really well and she said his eye sight is normal. I am delighted. My son has got a shunt in his head due to having hydrocephalus.
Have your kids ever had eye tests?
If so what was the test like?
Does you kid wear glasses?

My friend's son had an eye test a few months before he turned one and he wears eyeglasses now. He was diagnosed with optic nerve colobama. It was good that it was diagnosed early because he's getting better now.

My eldest was just 5 days old for her first eye test I have a congenital eye defect and can only see o9ut of one eye therefore both my girls were checked as new borns and then again every 6-8 weeks until 6 months and then once every 6 months until being discharged at 2 years both with normal eyesight.
Eldest is 5 and has also had an eye test at school my daughter hasnt had one since 26 months and she is now 3.5 so im going to get her seen by my eye doctor in the next six months infact il probably take them both, neither wear glasses at the moment and thankfully have none of the eye problems I do.

Hi
unfortunately, my kids does not have any eye problems. My younger son says that everything is looking blurr and do some thing for that. I used to buy carrots and prepare a variety of dishes every day for him and now he is totally alright.

no my son is grown and his eyesight is out of the wor ld,we lost our little girl when she was eight, but she also had perfect eye sight. I am the one who has to have glasses and have had since I was nine years old. It is time for me to have my eyes checked again and get new glasses. lol lol I am so glad your son had fun while getting his eyes checked. I remember when Ihad my last eyecheck up a little girl whom the doctor had dilated her eyes and how upset she was. the doctor should have explained all that to the mom and the child so she would have known what to expect. she cried and carried on something fierce. my eyes were also dilated and I tried to reassure it would soon fade away but she was having none of that.

My youngest who is 5 and has had 2 eye tests, one with me and one through his pre-school. There were little pictures like the sun, and the moon and other little things that most little kids would know. His eye site is good so far. My two older kids started having trouble seeing around the 3rd grade. They both had to get glasses. My daughter got contacts about a year ago she is 13, and we will be picking up my sons contacts next week, this will be new for him. I think the younger they start using the contacts the better.
