the incident was during my 8th standard.that was the day teacher returning back the exam papers to students.as usual she called my roll no.i went there and collected the paper.i looked the mark-38 out of 50.i am not satisfied with the mark.so i again looked the paper to see if there any adding mistakes.i found that there is an extra 3 mark is my paper.i went to teacher and said that.looking at me she reduced the excess mark from my paper and said "very good" after the classes i went back to my home.my father is waiting for me.with a smiling face i said "i got exam paper".he asked the paper and looking the paper he asked "why this?".i said what happened.then he looked at me and said"dont do this.go only if you have any chance to get mark...okkk".and he gave the paper back.and at that time i had no any answer in my lips.i looked at the paper with a big"?-mark" in my mind.... now you can decide am i right....???

Hi beondeblaise, for starters there is a conflict between being idealist and being practical out here. I would like to answer it from my perspective and not from ur parent's, if it is ok. Ok - u were honest, that is good, that is desirable, and u did the right thing. But ur father is also not wrong. He corrected u from the way the world is. There will be many things that u will be denied in life, that rightfully belong to u, and u will feel the pinch of it but not be able to do much to get what is ur due. So what is coming ur way, why not pick it? In his heart, he is pleased that u were that happy, but then he is afraid that what will happen if u continue like that in future? So - it is his concern for ur future that makes him say that. If u want to stand up for this right, then u should not be backing out from claiming what is urs, and fight for it relentlessly. Do u think u have that kind of grit? What they say - do u have it in u? U may not be successful - u may have nothing to show for it - ur wife would most probably nag u and so on - if u want to go ur way.
