Have you ever dated someone only because they were popular?

I have not dated someone only because they were popular. I think it's stupid to judge someone for that. I choice to date the best person that fits me. I don't go out with someone just because of who they are and what they know. That is mean and cruel in so many ways. Just because someone is not popular does not mean they would not be good for you. It is all about seeing what is inside the heart. I know some people care too much about there popularity status. You will actually find most unpopular people will have bigger hearts and understand situations better than popular people do. They will treat you better because they themselves knows how it feels to be judged and mistreated. Most popular people only care about themselves and don't care what others have to say. So they will treat others not as good and won't even care about the others feelings. In other words I would date someone for them and because they are popular.

I definitely do not look for popularity in a guy. I've dated popular guys, and 95% of them really are just jerks and only care about themselves. Either that or you end up getting your hopes up and then they dump you. :P No, but really popularity is nothing. It's all about who that person is when no one's watching. Their inside, and personality. :)

I have never dated anyone only because they were popular. I have to really like a person before I would date them. It would not matter to me if they were popular or not. I have to care about the person before giving them my time.

I don't date a guy due to his popularity. Those kind of thing don't last. When I was in school, a popular guy was 'attached' to me due to some circumstances. I thought I love him but and being with him was pretty awesome. He's nice but I just don't love him enough. So we just remained as friend.
The important thing is to see whether you love that person or not, not by the popularity he's carrying or his look alone.
