I would not work a dangerous job even if it did pay well. My life mean more to me than a job that would put my life in danger for some money. Risking your life is not worth any amount of money. Especially if you a wife and kids at home. There are so many jobs out there. I would find something safe to do rather than risk my life for a job. Life is to precious to risk over a dangerous job.

Most of the well-paid jobs depend on either risk or really really hard work so for everyone seeking such job the answer is "Yes", but I'm the opposite - the safer the better.

what do you consider a dangerous job? ANY job can be dangerous

It all depends on what it is and if I think I may be able to do it without it being so dangerous. I would not take on a job that was dangerous and also scared me to even try though.

No, I would never risk my life for that job. I can live with minimum income since I never spend beyond my salary, I can live decently with faltering income anyway. It's ridiculous to barter our lives with that dangerous job. Life is very precious to be wasted in danger.

Well, it depends on the job and, of course, it still depends on the pay. I'm quite the thrill seeker type and I don't really like the too much thinking kind of job unless it's going to be my only bread and butter, why not. I'd prefer the life-threatening or back-breaking jobs all because I'm the lazy type and that it takes a lot more energy to complete a highly thinking task than a manual labor one. And yeah, in my present condition (unemployed, flat broke, dirt poor, heart broken, left alone) I'd definitely go for the kill...at the right price of course.

i think it would depend on the job, if you are a very skilled worker on that type of job, i think you can handle it. But if its like a stuntman or like those people who tests new products, i might n0t :)

Well, for starters, there really are not that many jobs out there these days. I suppose it depends on your education and skills as well as where you live. With the economy the way it is I can certainly understand why someone would consider a job that is risky in order to survive. That being said, I really don't think that I would. I don't know. It would have to be a last resort if I were to do such a thing. If possible I would take a lower paying but safer job. I have a daughter to support and even though some extra money would be nice, I think that her having a mom is more important than anything right now. Have a great day, tuckersheri! This is a great & thought-provoking discussion.

If the job was something that I wasn't comfortable doing, I would pass no matter how well it paid. On the other hand, if I knew what I was doing and felt comfortable, I would probably take the job. Even some of the most dangerous jobs have enough safety measures in place to keep employees safe. Often times, it is not that the job os overly dangerous, it is that people don't practice the safety measures that they should. I would never, however; put my life in jeopardy simply for money.

NO. I would definitely not risk my own life just to earn huge amount of money. My family is more important to me than money. I can earn sufficient amount and make sure at the same time that I will always be there for my kids, husband and family.

I really think it depends on the job. I can't see myself as an ice road trucker or a fisherwomen off the coast of Alaska. However, I would not mind doing certain risky jobs. I think there is a level of risk in everything we do and if you are good at something and it pays you well, then you are lucky. My job is not dangerous in all aspects but I do deal with very unpredictable people. It could be that one day my job is very dangerous, if the person is set off.

I yes, I probably will! But it depends on the job, because I have fear from the height! But only if it's paid well, I mean within the framework of 3500-4000Euro per month. Well, some of you can say that no one will give me so much money for a job, but it's not so. You can also watch programs with dangerous jobs on one of the science channels! But there are a lot of dangerous jobs for which, you can get a lot of money. For example the men who build bridges- this work is really dangerous especialy for the welders, and I think that the welder job is one of the best paid jobs in the world. Also the men who build radio antennas have a dangerous job, they work on the highest places on the world. But these kinds of job I wouldn't work, because I have fear from the hight, what I've allready said!

Life over money, its that simple. I rather get paid a mediocre paycheck, rather than risk my life at a J.O.B. A job is just a job and a career is a career. A career shouldn't ever be dangerous, hence it should be safe.

I don't think so.. It's depend on the job though, if i have skill on that job, and I mean profesional, not just half able to do it, but not too profesional. And of course, if that job is really your hobby, or love the job, that's another possibility. But if only because we get paid well, but the job is too risky, I will think about it..LOL..

I think even if the work paid well I can't accept it because I still love my life and money can bring your life back. If you are single a guess you can accept but if you are have a family I think you can't risk your life just to earn money for your family. Your family need you more than money.

Hi Tuckersheri, I definitely would not take the dangerous job as long as I have way earn my bread. This thought are even stronger after I have my son. I am taking care of myself, pay attention to my health even better after I have my kid, as I know he need me... Money is good, but I do not want to risk my life for it. I think my family member also do not want me to... Have a great day and happy mylotting.
