Real Journalism vs. Scripted Fiction

Watching some of the actual news coverage vs. the obviously scripted coverage is amazing these days. This is the test of true journalism! The age when journalists will separate themselves from the sitcoms that entertain us on weekday afternoons. As a Communications major it is watching a train wreck when turning on those networks that have somehow made it okay for "journalists" to insert their personal opinions here and there. Journalism 101....your opinion does not matter!!! Report the news!!!!! True news organizations, the public and critics are watching....It may be a popular time to forget the creed that true journalists live by.....but the short lived sensationalism, bias and flat out lies will soon die.....and there will be a long line of worthy journalists to take your job!

I tend to agree. I don't know how to expand on that you pretty much hit the nail on the head. Nice observation.

You are absolutely right. I think some journalists are starting to see this now. There are way too many means of communication. The blogs and various websites now, mean I do not have to look at the reports that are so biased.
