How do you handle stress?

I am 43 and with all the pressures of life, I am quite stressed plenty times, and it gets worse each year I get older just like you, marguicha. What sometimes helps me most of the time is a nice warm bubblebath, I know most people think guys don't take them, but my previous doctor who is female used to tell me to take scented baths with lavendar/vanilla bubblebath. I also have many water fountains and sensory lights I look at and listen to in my "sensory room." It is not quite finished, I want to add some sensory items such as scent diffusers to the room.

I love your idea
!!! I have a very nice tub I never use as I mostly shower. I also have bath salts and bubbles. It´s the kind of things I always get at birthdays and never use. I´ll follow your suggestion and put on some reiki music with water and birds singing that is very relaxing.

Hi,it seems good therapy what you mention above and also i want to suggest some of my friends about this.I am also crossed 46,but i try to avoid tensions first.I don't take it serious or anything.What was happened...happened,what will be happen...happen.For this simple logic why we worry and lost our precious time that God given to us.That is my motto.be happy and live happy.All the best and have a good day.

Stress can be a bummer. Seems as if i have always had it in my life. I know what u mean about your back, that's the pits to. I just handle it anyway i can. alot of times i get alot of cleaning done w/i have something bothering me on my mind. I also do alot of fussing & cussiny. Of course noone hears me but my dog & she has lost her hearing recently so she can't even listen anymore, lol.

I hope u are feeling better. U sure got busy after feeling so bad. They may have sent the storm to make u go in the house, lol. Don't work too hard.

Hi friend, Sometimes you do need more than a dog
. But there are things you don´t tell your kids: you don´t want to bother them.
The day before yesterday I woke up doubled with pain and nothing helped. So yesterday I scolded my back, took a painkiller, gave myself a BIG shower (usually I´m frugal at that)and decided God made us to be on our two feet instead of sitting in front of the computer. So I mowed the lawn and planted my green beans and fava greens. I was just calling it quits (and feeling much better) when a thunderstorm took place, with hail and all. Fortunatly it was just short lived. Do you think the heavens were amazed at my work and applauded with thunder?

I handle stress by attending masses, visiting churches, prsying hard to have any problem solved. If still I found it uneasy, would visit a friend for a talk, dine out and sing with them. Go home and sleep and then wake up the following morning with stress no more...

I always think that life must be easier for believers. But I´m an agnostic so faith is not something that can help me. I´m glad it helps you. Take care.

If i feel my self starting to get stressed out about something. I always try to put a end to it as soon as possible, because stress is not good for our health.
I know that the older i have gotten that i have learned not to let the little things get to me anymore.
If i get stressed about something i usually take a walk and try to work it out that way, and another thing that i will do is soak in a hot bath tub.

My stress usually brings me big problems in sleeping not pains in my body. I have to read or pray to get to sleep. Last week I didn't fall to sleep till after 7:30 in the morning. I have started to try and exercise more which seems to help my stress alot. I think for you to help in controlling the pain in your body try and exercise more. That should help you with your pain and stress. Good luck to you and I hope this helps you.

I think getting stressed have nothing to do with if you are a computer addict.
you just need to relax.
Since you are computer addict, litsening to some favorite music, watching movies, playing games etc might be help a lot. In a word, you get to find something to relax yourself.
when I get tired or stressed, I always find some comedy films to watch, it helps a lot.

I have the strong suspicion that I´m more stressed since I quit smoking.
. I have the idea that smoking is VERY GOOD to your health.
Unfortunatly I couldn´t afford them anymore and still live how I like to live so I did it. I was smoking two packs a day and that´s a LOT of money.
But let me tell you that, after smokoking for 50 years the doctors have said my lungs are wonderful.

I just pray a lot, sometimes would see my friends, a little talk, laugh and then singing together some lines of our favorite song. If still have time will dine out together and when I get home, seems everything okey. I'll pray again before sleeping and when I wake up the following morning, I can smile and stress no more.
