I apply sun screen lotion, little powder, compact of natural colour, black kajal for eyes, bottu on forehead and light lipstick. What about you? Do you apply deep makeup or light one? What all you use for makeup? Men can also share their views as they also will be using powder or lotion is it not?

Hi Bunchi, I don’t apply any deep makeup when going out. I even don’t use most of them when attending any wedding or happy occasions. I apply skincare lotion on my face and neck after washing my face twice a day. I would like to pat a little of skin care loose powder on my face before going out or to office. If attending any grand occasion might be I would like to apply some lipstick. I usually would look rather energetic after applying the desirable color on the lips Anyway our appearance should be tidy and decent when attending any grand occasion. This is the basic courtesy to show our respect to the host. We have to make sure that our hair is welly combed and tidy. Our clothes have to match the occasion as well. Yet makeup usually depends on one's liking. It might vary from person to person. I feel uneasy if I wear heavy make-up I did put on heavy make up during my wedding day. There were still several times when I gave performance on the stage during my school days. Yeah, my classmates and I were forced to wear the disgusting heavy makeup. I found my appearance looked so artificial and far-fetched in the mirror! might be that time the beauty art as well as the cosmetic were not so advanced and versatility lol... Take care and happy posting!

For our marriage, we have to do over makeup only, no other go, the tradition is such and our elders will not leave us saying only for today. Happy to know that you have performed on the stage in your school. What performance was it can I know please? Drama or dance? So my friend is an artist too.

Hi At home I do not use any make up. Just after having my bath, I will apply sindoor in my forehead which is a custom of all married Hindu ladies whose husbands are alive. While going out in the sun, i will apply sunscreen and little talcum powder kajal and sindoor. Though I have got lots of lipsticks, very rarely I will apply.

That is very simple of you vathsala30. Yes of course, sindoor which we call pottu and bottu in tamil and telugu, is a must for Hindu ladies. Even widows put a small sticker pottu now-a-days as many of them go to office and they should be presentable is it not?

I don't use any of that stuff. I have wonderful skin. My body is perfect in every way. I have lovely, luscious blond hair which you would all love.

Hi Buchi_bulla, I use MAC foundation sometimes with powder. I love the coverage it gives so most of my makeup is by MAC although I do have some BB,EL and Lancome. I always use a good sun screen and moisterizer. A few years ago I started using Obagi skincare and I will say it is wonderful for fine lines and wrinkles!

MAC is a good foundation, which my husband used to get me when I was newly married. I still remember Mac factor foundation compact always in my handbag. Once children grew up, they started buying other good stuff for me. Since they always buy and keep in my cupboard ready, I do not buy for myself.

I first wash my face with a cleaner then put on my toner. first I do my hair first...then makeup... With makeup I apply my foundation then my powder, blush and a lil bit of bronzer. then I start on my eyes which I put on my eye primer first then my eyeshadow, roll up my eyelashes put mascara, eyeliner. then I do my lips..I put lipstick then I put on my gloss.

It is really nice of you to have explained in detail step by step about makeup. In fact I had doubt whether to do face first then hair or first do hair and then face. Now you cleared my doubt. Thank you for the same.

I started this discussion to know generally how people do makeup, whether I can learn anything from their responses.

I guess too much make up is not good for the skin to breath, but it also depends on one's effort to wash and clean her face every day. Normally I would only apply some light make up. I use a two-way foundation as it is much easier to handle, eye shadow, sometimes a little bit of mascara, and blusher and lipstick or lip gloss, mostly all of them are of natural shades. I have seen some of my friends who like to apply heavy make up, but when they don't wear any, they look so pale and weird. So, I prefer to look natural.

What you say is absolutely correct. People who wear heavy makeup, will look weird without makeup. Reducing makeup is always good for the skin. I do not put any makeup at home, just little powder.

It is also because we are so used to see them in make-ups and when they do not put anything on their face, they look strange, like a different person altogether. I seldom wear any make up at home unless there is a gathering or party, I will apply just a touch of face powder and a thin layer of lipstick.

I just apply light make up to add color in my pale fair skin hehehe. I am using Mary Kay products right now and it's working good for me. If possible i don't use different brands to prevent my skin from breakouts. I used soap with moisturizer and lots of moisturizer before going to bed and before applying make up.

Moisturizer is also before applying your foundation. It makes your skin so smooth and the effect is so great. Stay beautiful and feel beautiful always!

I cannot help myself I wear a lot of make up, I hate going out without it. I apply facial primer, foundation, liquid bronzer, peach highlighting powder, mousse blush, mascara, eyeshadow, eyeliner, lip balm, lip gloss and bronzing powder. It sounds like a lot well because it is but I apply a little of each I don't cake large amounts of each product on because then I would look clownish.

i am not into makeup. i prefer my look to be natural. my regimen is only applying toner and lipgloss. A pressed powder, a little blush and curling my eyelases would be for some special occasions. aside from the fact that i am not into applying makeup, i also do not know how to apply them and do not bother learning it..

For some people little makeup itself shows them great. May be their good features, colour, good skin etc. hypes their beauty. May be you are one of them. But some people have very gaudy makeup which may or may not suit them. It it is not suiting them then they will look like clowns.

I rarely wear makeup. When I do, I put foundation on my trouble spots and some powder. I put on some eyeshadow, liner and mascara. I rarely use lipstick.

Very basic makeup you make. It is rare to see ladies not using lipstick. Even I neve use it. But my children sometimes force me to apply. They buy and come. So I will apply on few occasions.

I hardly ever wear makeup. I just do not like the way it looks or feels on my face. I like the natural look alot more. I do wear some of it lightly at times though. Some women look good with it on.

Just light make up for me. When I was in college, I used to put dark and heavy make-up but got tired of it. Now that I’m working, I only have concealer, foundation, and pressed powder. I’m always on the go and putting too much make-up is some kind of task to me.

I apply makeup only when I remember to do so. But lip balm has been a constant essential thing in my pocket. I only put on light makeup. I only use a compact powder, a concealer (to disguise my ever present eye bags), cheek tint, and lip balm. I really love the natural look, and I do my best to look fresh always :)

I was using max factor foundation for base for face before. Now my children get me melascreen sun screen lotion for base, then little powder and compact, kajal, sindhoor on the forehead or sticker bottu, while going for occasions, I apply little lip stick.
