Have you been suspended to do transactions?

myLot just sent the money we earned from last month's activities. Those who earned the minimum cash were included in the payout. And I am very thankful that for the NTH time, i receive my money without problem, that's from myLot to Paypal.
But this time, Paypal suspended my account. They said that I already reached the limit. And so, I have to resolve this problem, so they can restore my account. They just asked for my proof of billing address.
I felt a bit disappointed that I got suspended and that also made me a little bored to do myLotting again.
It's just so convenient to do that compared to other payment system, as they also accept uploading documents. The others require us to send documents through fax which is expensive for me, as I live outside US.
And now, just about a few hours of sending Paypal my documents, they already restored my account and I can already view and do transactions, again.
I am so happy that I also made the withdrawal and I expect to receive my money or my money will be expected to be in my local bank by October 22.
Thanks myLot. Thanks Paypal.
So, have you been suspended with your Paypal account? Or do you have problems withdrawing your Paypal money before?
How did you resolve the problem?

Hi neildc,
good to hear that you were able to resolve your problem right away... I remember last year, I have had trouble also in my account and I almost give up that time calling them...Anyway, I was fortunate one day when I called up and the representative who answered me knows a lot about his job and was able to assist me in my problem!

actually, i also thought of calling them but i had second thought. you know, it would be expensive to call overseas, and i don't have much savings to do that. it's really good and it's a relief when they restore mine within that day. good to see you back here. so what keeps you busy?

hi salonga. i guess i maybe overwhelmed that it got "restored", as mentioned in the email message. and instead of limited my access to some important Paypal features, it got in my mind that it is "suspended". I maybe wrong, and I can no longer retrieve the message or go back to that Paypal page, to double check if it's actually a suspension or just a limitation to some features. But good thing here is that I already made a request of fund transfer, and I can continue to use my account.
First is the verification of the credit card.
Then they ask for the security questions.
Then this is the final step, verification of my address.
They were all done right now, so no problem so far.

Hi neildc, I am from India. When i first created the paypal account in 2007 the limit of the money transaction without credit card is $100. I get money from many sites. So it is most regular one i use.I feared of that and if i get more money what to do.But later in 2008 it changed to $500 for the free account. But now it is near to that amount.Till now my account is not suspended. I have to wait and see in the later days.

hi sunny5u. it's nice to hear from you. well i guess i will not exceed that limit, the amount of cash to be withdrawn, as i don't have any other source of online income. i guess what really caused for my account to exceed the limit is "third party" issue. i remember using paypal other than my usual computer in the office, so when paypal recognized that i am using different computer or i was logging-in from other location, as in ip address, they presume there was someone trying to use my account, other than me. anyway, that's part of their security measures. i feel better now that my account is already restored and can do more transactions, again.

My sister's account was suspended some months ago, due to 'access by third party'. Well that 'third party' was my sister herself and she had been giving the correct password all the time. Can't say what caused the problem..
We tried our best but could reset the password only. They need the documents, and I'm not sure how to send it... So it's still limited.
At that time I was happy though because the transaction she was going to make was really weird!
Happy mylotting:)

that's funny and at the same time scarry. what if she never got to restore her account and if there were some cash in there? what a waste if those were forfeited. you mean it's not yet restored? i guess you have to try to resolve the problem now. paypal accepts documents by just uploading it to them, if you or she can still access her account.

No, I never experience it yet but i experience my paypal being limited althogh I already verify my credit card the paypal still require me to submit my utility bills or a least receipts with my name or proof of address on it. Eventually, I resolve it by uploading the important documents. After submitting the paypal lift the limitation and i could start now to enjoy their services.

that's exactly what happened to my account actually, not totally suspended as what others had understood. it was immediately restored after a few hours upon uploading my documents which they require.

hello Neil,
You know after i read your discussion, i realized, this is disturbing. if there's one reason why i like PayPal is that they don't require you to submit a billing statement. that's why until this very day i can't verify my Alert pay account because I really didn't have any utility bill and just one of my ID's. if that happens am gonna stop mylotting. that would be ahrd for me to move on earning online.

hi buddy. yes it's true, sending documents to verify our personality really is disturbing and a hassle to some people. but i guess, when it's done, we can very much at east to feel that our money with paypal is safe. i also have an alertpay account but it's not verified and i don't want to continue using it. i am really grateful that paypal accepts documents by uploading files, instead of fax service only.

I'm glad to hear that you got the PayPal problem resolved, Neildc. I can only imagine how frustrating that might have been. I remember, for a while, when I first got my PayPal account that I had some frustrations. But I haven't had anything in a long time. Thank goodness.
When I first signed up throught PayPal, I was doing quite a bit of selling through eBay. And I did end up upgrading to the Premier account. Perhaps, if this ever happens in the future, you might consider doing this as well. It has really helped for me. The only thing that bothers me, is when I am really broke and PayPal takes out a little deduction. They do this on Premier accounts for some payments, but not all. I haven't figured out the method to their madness, but I am used to it now. LOL
Thank you for all of your responses in my discussions, and have a beautiful day here on myLot!

Hi kykidd. So far, everything is back to normal. My last money in paypal, i already received it at my bank. It was the last payment i got from mylot. And so far though, i have no plans of upgrading. I only use paypal with mylot and no other, so this free account is fine with me. No problem with your discussions, if i can relate and have something to say, i will always do it... Neil

just like what i have mentioned to one of my comments here, i may had just overwhelmed by the fact that my account had been restored and it got to my mind that my account was suspended, instead of just limited, with some features. i guess i have to apologize on this.
i long been a verified member for such a long time now and i was really shocked when i was trying to withdraw. and there it said that i can do that, for i was limited to do that transaction, until an issue is resolved. i just upload some documents and there it goes, after a few hours, it is already restored.

hi neildc nope I have had no problems with paypal at all,
in the couple of years I have been on mylot. my only'proiblema while back was my motormouth roommate who talked my ear off when I was making or trying to make a deposit from paypal to my bank account and wound up making a withdrawal of the same amount of
money from my bank account to paypal, what a mess but all I had to do was wait til it cleared then take it out and put it back in the bank and also put my paypal money into my bank account. if only she had just shut up for even ten minutes.grrrrrrrrrr.

Hi neil, actually getting money out of there was the longest bit of nonsense I've had to put up with online so far. There was always something extra that they wanted doing with their resolve this and provide that. This week I decided I'm taking the money out only to find yet again having still not managed previously to get anything out that I had to resolve the account due to someone having tried to access it. Finally pay pal has a zero balance but if they start wanting more proofs of this and that as you've described then I don't really think it would be worth my effort to bother as mylot is the only thing I use it for.
So if they start wanting uploaded documents and pictures then it would be the end of mylotting, lifes too short for all that technical stuff to take my time.

First is the verification our existence with the use of a credit card.
Then they asked for the security questions.
Then this is the final step, verification of my address.
For me there is nothing wrong if they will ask for this and that, as long as they will put the account in full activation and our money is safe. Maybe there's something happened in my side. I use not only one computer and you know i also have this mobile phone that i can also use to surf the internet,
Maybe Paypal suspected there is somebody trying to log-in and use my account. Maybe they recognized that I there is somebody from other place trying to get in using my account. And so they just asked to verify and send proofs.
I long been a verified member and this only happened to me now. But I am glad it's restored now.
How you doing, my friend thea?

I have only been paid once from mylot through paypal and the payment went through fine. I think I might be able to make payout for this month again..I wasn't on much so I wasn't able to make payout the last few months or so but I have never heard of paypal suspending an account because you reached a limit. I had a paypal account in the past and it was suspended due to inactivity and I was shocked at that but now they are suspending for using it too much as well...what the hell? What is the limit that you can use it...I am sure I won't reach that limit but I would just like to know to be safe anyhow. Thanks =)

i don't exactly know what is the limit, in terms of the number of transactions. but i know that if someone's account is not verified, they are limited to do transactions, sending and receiving money. i don't know what really went wrong with mine as i am long been a verified member. maybe, as i can recall now, when we use different computers every time, they can recognize the ip address and so they will suspect, someone is using my account at that time. and so they limit or suspend some features that is critical, until i resolve that issue. i posted something at response #5 which i guess is the main reason for suspending or limiting my access to my account.

Hello neil,
I haven't encountered any problem with paypal,or i should say,i haven't tried doing transaction with paypal so far.
All my earnings are still there and i haven't made any withdrawals so far till now.
Now,you give me a thought...will they hold my earnings then, becoz i haven't made any transactions?

hi jaiho. good to hear you haven't had problems with your account. you still haven't withdrawn any from it, i guess you still have much in your savings that's why you want your paypal grows, lol.
i don't think there is a problem with paypal if you have no transactions made, i am not sure if there is something like like in mylot that we will not get logged-in for 3 months, our earnings will be forfitied. i will try to check it or you could if you have time, then try to inform us.
the problem with my account was actually a limitation to do transaction at that time alone. that maybe cause by me, using different computers. i used to log-in from my office desktop and my mobile phone. i sometimes use other computers in the office. you know, they record our ip address, so one time they thought maybe, someone other than me tried to use my account, but it's actually me.
so you really wish to make your paypal money grows more?

i got it my friend.Yah,they're too smart to recognise our IP address, that's the problem then.I had same problem with one of my earning site which i already closed becoz i can't log in due to IP address changed, since i uses my mobile, laptop and my kids computer too.(i will avoid doing so with paypal then not to encounter any problem.
Uhmnn, yah, wish to save more, since i don't need it that much. And,i am still thinking better investment when i withdrawn my earnings, not to waste it for nothing.

Hi neil
Yes I have just had an email from Paypal saying that they cannot get my payment..thing is I may phone them up and find out what is happening as there are fake paypal emails going around asking for your details then when it has them they will take money fromyour acccount...then problem for you...so just in case I am going to call them and see what is happening and if it was them who emailed me..just to be on the safe side...LoLo

hi littleowl. well that's better on your side that you call paypal without spending a cent. if we have problems here, we can't make a call to them as it will take us a lot money to do it. and yes it's pretty scary doing online business but with mylot and paypal, we are confident that our money is safe. i hope you are not being faked. have a nice day my friend.

So far i have not had any bad experience with paypal. probably they might be tracking accounts from certain regions and checking if it is from a genuine person. sometimes they verify this to confirm their doubts. good to know that they restored your account and allowed you to transfer funds to your bank account.

good thing you have had no problems so far. i can't remember how much is my current withdrawal limit, but i am sure if amount of cash to be transferred, i will not reach my limit because i have no much money in my account. what was actually my problem is viewing of critical features. but good thing it's already restored and i can do any transactions now, again.

i had been a verified member a long ago. maybe this one answers best, an email message from Paypal i had just retrieved from my archives. i have posted here a portion of the said message.
As part of our security measures, we regularly screen activity in the PayPal system. During a recent screening, we noticed an issue regarding your account.
We have reason to believe that your account was accessed by a third party. We have limited access to sensitive PayPal account features in case your account has been accessed by an unauthorized third party. We understand that having limited access can be an inconvenience, but protecting your account is our primary concern.
Case ID Number:
For your protection, we have limited access to your account until additional security measures can be completed. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.
this may had happened when i use not only one computer to access my Paypal account. if you can remember, i have a desktop here in the office, and i have a mobile phone too, that i also use to go online, especially at night time.
