Do you prefer to date a beauty without brain or an ordinary looking woman with great minds? I mean if your economic conditions are permitive? If you are rich or famous?
I often hear people talking that they would like a girl with beautiful face and shape and average intellegence or even no brain than a smart woman, is that true do you think?
Due to cultural difference, I think most Chinese men would prefer an idiot beauty than a smart girl because they are afraid that they may surpass them in many aspects. No matter rich or poor, they always cherish the illusion that their girls should be as beautiful as they can but little thinking whether or not they deserve a beauty themselves, this is quite true for those with bad income, no good-looking, less promising family background men.
Is it the same in your culture?

From where I stand, I prefer a girl who is ordinary looking with great minds.
When it comes to this question, most people may choose a beauty without brain, which is a common phenomenon around the world, men in China included obviously.(O(n_n)O)
I am from China too. For me, I don't think it due to cultural difference but a nature of men.

It depends of what you understand about brain and beauty. I think the best combination it's beauty and brain, and from my perspective, is not hard to find it. As i said before, it depends on what people define beauty and brain. For example, for me beauty is not a top model or something like that, just a fine-normal girl (but nothing too low), and brain...well...just general culture, manners and that stuff.

I prefer to marry a somewhat good looking gal with smart brain rather than beauty gal.. Because most of the beauty gals are head weight.. and if u are not so much beautiful then there may arise unnecessary doubts and misunderstandings between two of them.. On the other hand a smart gal would adjust to ur family conditions and help us to sail through the life sea safely..I prefer a smart woman

Im not a man so I dont know what they have in mind regarding that. But If Im a man, I will prefer to date a simple woman but have great mind. For me the beauty is useless if talking with you is just a waste of time. I belive men now are smart so they prefer bright minds than idiot gorgeus women.

i prefer beauty but beauty in a different sense.for woman gets old very quickly,superficial beauty cannot last long.to make it eternal,they must enrich their souls,that includes smartness.man should be realistic,maybe they pay much attention to girl's looks when they are young,but trust me, boys all will grow up,at that time,they will know what is called beauty.

I'm from China,and what you say about chinese men was in the past.
now china's economy are developing fast and most men would like to choose a girl who has a good job and a rich family background, if they cannot find the suitable one, they would rather live alone.
in china, financial condition ranks first for those who wants to find a boy/girl friend.

A lady w/out a brain is gonna get ugly sooner or later, however if you got brains, people will see your inner beauty and it last longer. Your question is out of line though in a way that we really can not sum up our earthly cultural preferences coz it lies as per individual taste, I can not speak for my whole country, nor can i speak for our state. I had never judge another man's wife.

I definitely prefer the brain in an ordinary looking woman. I prefer the nerdy girl next door look over a high maintenance bleach blonde with lots of surgery and makeup anyways. I would certainly want a partner who could pull their weight and not be a pretty looking albatross around my neck.

Chemistry is the most important thing. After all, isn't love truly blind?? I find I must have brains in my women for we run out of things to talk about if not. As far a physical beauty goes, it is fleeting. I once dated a beautiful blonde model. Why she went out with me,I'll never know. She was a knockout!!!! A funny thing happened. The longer I dated her, the uglier she became to me. Soon, I couldn't stand to even be around her. I broke it off with her. All my friends said I was crazy to let her go but WAS I??? Best go with chemistry and true love. Nothing else will last.
