Dear MyLotters, I like to eat an egg and it is no problem for me to eat egg everyday for my meal. I like to cook egg in different ways : steam,omellete,hard-boiled,fried.All those are my favourite to present an egg for my meal. Eggs are probably the most nutritious food that easily available at all supermarket around the world. They are delicious and packed with a wealth of essential components required by our body. Due to high vitamin D content, eating eggs give rise to strong and healthy bones.Eggs are also high in vitamin E,high quality protein and amino acids. I definitely will eat both egg white and egg yolk too.Apart from normal chicken egg, I also like to eat salted egg and century egg, they served best with plain porridge. Do you like to eat eggs? you will serve it for breakfast/lunch/dinner? How often do you eat egg in a week ? Do you prefer egg white or egg yolk or both? Drop me a note. Thank you !!

I like to eat 2 half-boiled eggs for breakfast. It is nutritious. For lunch or dinner I prefer to have fried eggs. If I have noddle I'll add an egg that is hard-boiled. That is good. All the good minerals, antioxidant vitamins D, E in the yolk and the high protein in the white out weigh the cholesterols in the yolk. Go ahead to eat 2 eggs a day.

You are absolutely right. Kampong eggs are better. Half-boiled eggs are better than fried. Two half-boiled eggs without soya sauce (kicap) for breakfast is good for our heart.

Hi James, When I am having half-boiled eggs, I can't eat without light soya sauce. I still prefer to add bit of soya sauce with pepper, then only I can swallow all in. Sometimes, I do cook fried eggs with sliced tomatoes for my son,it taste great also. Maybe I should say, anything cook with the eggs are my favourite dishes.

Shia.. egg is my best solutions on days I am just too lazy to come out with dishes to be serve on the dining table... I will do sunny side up, or scrabble just to have additional dish on the table. I just recalled few days back, I have some little minced pork in the fridge, which is just too little to do a dish on its own, I add in a egg, a salted egg and steam it! That's it, voila, I had a dish on the table.

Hi Cwong, I never try cooking steam egg using salted egg as the ingredient before. Maybe I should try it out this weekend. Just wondering, egg yolk of salted egg is hard,so do I have to use it too for steaming egg? I always get ready egg stocks at home,so anytime when I run out of idea what to cook for today, then egg will be my rescuer.

shia.. what I do is just mix 3 types of eggs together.. the salted egg yolk, the normal egg and a century egg. the yolk of the salted egg, you can just cut up into slices, and then mix together with the other type of eggs. this is a very popular dish when we eat out, as we called it the 3 yolk steam egg..

I'd like my eggs to be either scrambled or hard-boiled. But I wouldn't mind a frittata once in a while, it's kinda like a scrambled egg mixture but you put special spices and other ingredients in a frittata, like peas, paprika, cheese, butter, mushrooms etc. I was wondering though, how does one steam eggs, that's something new for me.

Hi Laydeem Steam egg is pretty simple and easy to cook. Once you have broken the egg into a bowl, whisk them ,add bit of light soya sauce and pepper, mixed well. Also add some water into the eggs and whisk them again.(2 cups of water for 2 eggs) Then steam with low heat till it cooked. it is best to serve as one of the dish for dinner.

Hi JUgjugs, So good that you have your own chicken farms,so there is no need to buy eggs outside and you can always get fresh eggs from your farm. It is also good that eggs are always standby in your kitchen,so anytime you want to use it, just grab them from the fridge and a simple dish is ready to be serve.

I like doing omelets... I like putting all kinds of spices and meats on it, I put ham, bacon, salami, mushrooms, cheese, red bell pepper.. Hmm. this is making me hungry... Lol. Anyway, I do use both the yolk and the egg white, as it is more delicious that way.,.. hehehe. i rarely do hard boiled, only because, I never seem to cook it right, sometimes it's undercooked, sometimes it's overcooked.. How would you know anyway when the egg is already cooked? My mom said just leave it for a certain number of minutes, but even if i follow her instructions, it still doesn't cook right...

HI, Sometimes, I do like to eat under cooked eggs...especially with the egg yolks still in watery yellowish,It taste super nice with bit of tomato sauce in between. Normally, when I do frying egg for my son, I always make sure it is cooked well. I will make sure the egg yolk is getting harder, then only I will lift it up from the pan.

I like to have scrambled egg when I have my breakfast in a hotel, the chef can cook so well and I will have at least two scrambled eggs for my breakfast in a hotel. Add bit of tomato sauce and pepper,it makes the scrambled egg taste even better.

I like fried, scrambled, and boiled eggs, omelettes, quiches, etc. Eggs are great! They pack a lot of nutrition for the price. I eat both the white and the yolk, and I only buy cagefree eggs. Cagefree is better for the chickens, which is good from an ethical standpoint, but it is also good for the quality of the eggs and meat - tastier and more nutritious.

Hi shea, we have a couple of preparations of eggs that are similar to ur ommelate but taste different. We fry chopped onions in some oil, add a couple of cloves, and cardomom (open), and a small piece of cinnamon. Once the onion is done, we add a little salt, and chilly and pour beaten eggs on this, wait for a few minutes (around 2 minutes). Then shake and break the omellate formed in the skillet. Eventually, break this in to several smaller pieces, and let it remain on slower flame for some more time. Finally add garam masala. The dish is ready. I have this at least twice in a week. Yolk is not good. But white is just fine.

HI Carmelbg, So good that you can always get fresh eggs from your neighbour. For me, I always get it from the supermarket. There are two types of egg at supermarket : low in cholestrol and normal egg. Low in cholestrol egg cost more expensive than the normal egg. As for kampung egg, it also quite expensive and it is good to be served as breakfast everyday.

I love eggs in every way. I don`t eat much eggs for breakfast because I have so many uses for them at lunch or dinner. I use them often with leftovers for awesome omelettes. I My friends love a dessert I make that is a mixture of custard and stale bread. I use hard boiled eggs over lentils and deviled eggs in salads. I am sure I use more than my share of one egg a day. Fortunatly, my cholesterol is ok.

Eggs are our daily dose in our breakfast and meals like lunch and dinner sometimes... We keep changing like sometimes it is just boiled and sometimes I prepare some wonderful egg recipes like Cheese Omelette, Egg Biryani, Egg Curry, Egg Omelette, Egg Toast, Fluffy Omelette, Masala Omelette, Mushroom Omelette, Poached Eggs, Stuffed Eggs and also Deviled Eggs. Eggs are an excellent source of protein - one of the cheapest available - and are rich in vitamins A, D, E, B12 and niacin - and minerals - calcium, zinc and iron. Moreover they have low calories and fat. Eggs are one of the most complete, naturally produced foods containing many essential nutrients for a balanced diet for adults and children alike. Thanks.

Hello Shia, I like to eat eggs too ! Is the century egg black in color? If yes, then it is one of my favorite eggs! I like to eat this black egg with sour ginger. I normally eat eggs for lunch or dinner. Eggs is good and rich with nutritious but some how something if you eat too much it will harm our body. No doubt, eggs from pastured chickens are extremely good for you as they are high in omega-3 fatty acids Eating too many eggs may cause high blood cholesterol and heart disease. Eggs are one of the most common causes of food allergy and those with an allergy to eggs tend to react to the proteins in the egg white - ovalbumin and ovomucoid. Some children, however, are allergic to the yolk protein too. Because of the fact that many children tend to be allergic to egg whites, so I avoid egg whites altogether for the first year of my two babies.
