I know we have diferent kinds of course when we took up in our college life. Course here refers to our profession. When I was in college, I took up Bachelor of Secondary of Education major in Mathematics. I graduated it last year. Actually, my first choice is BS Accountancy but I never pursued it... The reasons are the following: * BS Accountancy course is not offered in our place; * I belong to a poor family, they (my parents) couldn't afford; * Many advices said that EDUCATION is very in demand nowadays. That's really my reasons. But as of now, I tried myself to be contented with this profession that I have... Hmmm, how about you? What is your course and why did you choose it? Were there any persons convinced you to take that course? Please share your ideas... Thanks.... Happy mylotting!

I am also a student from a poor family. This is the only reason why I am here writing discussion and trying to make some money so that I can help my family. I am currently doing B.C.A and this is my third year. I hope that I will get a job pretty soon. I know how it is too study in such conditions. I chose my course because I really love computers and its one of the things I am really good at.

I'm currently doing a Masters degree in a computing topic, after which I plan to do a Phd if I am good enough! Reason why I want to take this so far is because I love and enjoy the academic challenges, and I would love to be a researcher. When I did my diploma and in the early days of my Degree, I wanted to go into building computers, then got into web development and programming because there wasn't much money in building computers anymore. I still have that interest in programming, but through the later years of my degree and especially the final year of my Honors I developed a love for the research process. A friend of mine said to me one time, "If I could get paid for research I would do it all day!" and I thought, "you know, so would I!". Ever since then my interest in research has grown very much, and absolutely loving my Masters degree!

It's really nice to pursue your goal in life. As what you have said, you want to become a researcher. That's a very nice course coz that's one way of searching some problems in your society, community as well as in your country in general. I hope for your success in your FUTURE PLANS.

I also took up education back in college. I graduated with a degree in Bachelor of Education major in Elementary Education from De La Salle Lipa last 2007. I am currently taking up my Masters Degree in Education major in Educational Administration. I am not teaching as of now because I cannot yet feel the passion in the field.
