Hi jugjugs, Earlier people used to make the tea with tea leaves, then it changed the form and now there are lot of brands and types available in market. I think if you think deeply still they are tea leaves but made in different formats. We can’t make the tea without the tea leaves. Am I right?

Yes, I do. I buy it at the co-op in bulk. Tea is better if made from leaves and not from powder. Healthier also. I have several favorites I get. Easy and quick to steap and very flavorful either hot or cooled. Of course the green tea is said to be chock full of anti-oxidant and nutritive properties but that is nearly nulified if the powder is used due to processing.

My mom still often uses tea leaves for their green tea. It's much more aromatic and tastes better too. Instant is more convenient and less messy in the end, but it doesn't taste as potent. I have a restaurant type teapot that we used to use with the tea filter thing built in . . . oh but we haven't had tea in so long now. So thanks for the reminder - time to drink some tea!
