A family needs some everyday shoppings. It starts from grocery items to toiletries. who looks after these in your family? you or your wife? How much time you give to your family day to day shopping affairs? In my family my wife looks after all those.

Same with me. I just hand over the money to my wife. She makes everything. Hardly i have scope of visiting those places with her. But at times, while falling back from office, if she is telling for anything, then only i visit and do those shoppings.

Both of us, my husband and I do daily shopping. I shop most of the kitchen items and he shops other general items for house. I usually shop vegetables, fruits, and spices for cooking. But, if he goes to super market, I will ask him to get some spices or fruits. He shops for other common things such as soap, shampoo, mosquito liqifier, juice, choclates, etc. We enjoy doing our own part of shopping. If I want something urgent; he will go out in his bike and get it quick.

I believe its ususally the female of the house. As I do the same for my home. Or some females make a list for their husband to pick up stuff from the store on their way home from work. However, I believe its usually the female who keeps account of what is needed in the house at all times.

my three children and myself do grocery shopping every sunday. after church on sundays, we proceed to buy grocery items and everything we need for the next week. that is our usual routine. we limit our trips to the grocery store to save time, effort and money. the week's supply is thought of and budgeted ahead.

Yes, your mode of family shopping is logical in regards to save time and efforts, as well as money. If you visit very frequently, you will tend to buy some unnecessary items also.

I look after the stationary items and my wife takes care of the grocery needs of our family. But we don't go shopping daily.Regarding the vegetables too,we shop once in three days but buy fruits daily.Sometimes we switch the job for a change otherwise which it leads to boredom and monotonous.Cheers!
