I have a friend that was more vain than me. Most of my friends are boys and they are more vain than me. They stay in the bathroom for more than an hour doing the shaving, bathing, lotion, and more. And very late in dressing up. Do you have encounter like this? Have you have some friends like this?

No, I think they are about equal, I do remember my son when he was a teen and dating spending just as much time on his appearance as the girls did.

I do think that alot of men out there are vain, probably there are more men than women that are vain.I have a few male friends that are always looking in the mirror as well as touching their hair all the time.I do find it funny that some men are worse than most women.

Vanity is not my cup of tea. But there are people, most of them celebrities, who couldn't keep away from the mirror. And since the ordinary people tend to look up to their idols and imitate them, then the mass becomes vain, too. But narcissism is embedded in a person. So vanity depends upon one's person, not gender.

Hello feodda... I think it cannot be attached to a particular gender. There are many men as well as women who have the habit of grooming.... I have friends of this sort from both genders so I think it should be fair if we keep it the same for men and women and attribute it to people individually....

Most men shave everyday and shaving take time. To have a good smooth may takes 5 to 10 minutes. But if you take more than an hour to shave and bathe is over doing it. The whole operation of taking bath, shaving, applying lotion and towelling dry your body does not take more than 20 or 30 minutes. My opinion is women are more vane than men. All the best to you.

I do have some friend like this and i am not that type and don't belong to that category. I take hardly 15 minutes to take bath and if i am shaving then i take 15 minutes extra. there are some friends of mine who take less time than me in bathing and other stuff. Some of my female friends take nearly 1-2 hours for only bathing. I real don't understand what they do in the toilet or bathroom for such a long time. this makes me feel very angry sometimes when i wait for them.

I believe most of them are gays, A straight guy can be vain sometimes but not to a point of staying in the bathroom doing all those stuff you mentioned in an hour it's just absurd. Well, as for bathing I can say that it's normal for guys to bath for a few minutes longer especially if you like the water. But dressing and shaving for an hour? Hmmm... I have my doubts... Cheers!

I am already married and I could say that boys really are also concious of how they look, they smell or even they dress. But still compared to us girls we are still as vanitios than boys.

i still believe that women are more vain than men. Yes they stay in the bathroom for hours and in groups, because they want to compliment each other. While some men would just take for granted and does not really care how they look. But hey men and women are all different! SO I also think that it depends =)

I do have friends just like what you've described. But those facts can't be generated to say that men are more vain than women. I'm a man. And i'm not vain :) Peace..!!
