Good afternoon my mylot friends, How do you clean your house and how oftan, do you follow a rountine or do you just do the jobs as you feel you want them done? Anthea Turner says that you should treat your cleaning like a proper job!!! I always clean the upstairs bathroom, toilet and hoover the landing/staircase, hoover bedrooms on a sunday if we aren't going out or on a Monday. This is because my husband is a night shift man, doesn't get up until 1.30pm ish and I go out to work at about 2pm. As he works Mon thro to Thurs night this fits in with his sleep pattern. I clean peoples houses on Tuesdays and Fridays so I tend to do wiping down and a quick hoover on that day. I tend to do other big jobs inbetween my cleaning jobs and my phone work, phone work I do from home so can do ironing/dusting while waiting for the phone to ring. My friend has a piece of paper where she sits to have her coffee and when she is sitting down she can look round and see what jobs need doing or what jobs she should be doing, she writes them down and then next time she feels like sitting down and feels like she has nothing to do apart from sit she looks at the list and goes and do some jobs instead. Another friend actually gets up in the adverts of shows and dusts and quickly hoovers!!! I wouldn't do that, and what happens if she is watching a channel that has no adverts!!! LOL Hope this has started your your thinking and look forward to see how you clean house. Have a great weeeknd my friends Anne18

I do the cleaning everyday on afternoons. Started from the kitchen then to living room, I do dusting and vaccumming. Then I do the upstairs and the toilet.

I like to create a riutine for the people that I clean for, that way when I go in to clean I know which room I'm going to start in and which week is bed change week.

Man oh man, you really got it down to a science! But I'll bet your house looks nice, too. With us, everything has changed. The problem we had was the kids. There was one time when I had the living room all cleaned up. Another half hour later the daughter and her boyfriend came home. Five minutes later, the living room looked like I hadn't done a thing. But now, they have moved out so it stays clean. But yeah, I'll see some dirt on the floor and I'll do a quick Kirby. Or I see anything out of place, I'll pick it up, but there is no regular scedule.

Thats sounds like a very good way to do your jobs. My children aren't very good at tidying up sometimes

Thats one very good advantage of going into other peoples houses to clean. You laways know that you are going into a mess that needs cleaning and tidying up and you leave it all nice and tidy. You don't mind them making a mess as you know what you are going back to. VERY GOOD thing is because you don't go back for a week you never know when they have made the mess, be in one day two days or even an hour after you have finished

There are four people and four dogs. I clean every day. I deep clean one room per day and do a daily cleaning to the rest of the house. I do laundry atleast once per day. I usually get up, wake up (coffee, read or internet). Then once every body is up and has eaten, I start with dishes then finish kitchen and work my way around the house.

I do also do at least one load of washing aday, ironing when there is something on the pile so the basket is always empty. We are five in our house, where six until elder daughter left home, takes one day to wash and tumble all the towels in our house, used to take longer when three of the children swam three times away, it seemd that we were always washing and drying towels!!!

I do all my housework on Monday because it is my day off, and I like to spend the day getting everything done, so that I don't have to rush around. On Sundays I always do my laundry, which makes less to do on Monday.

That sounds a good idea, bit like me, I don't think my hubby would like it if I hoovered upstairs when he is asleep!!!

I do dishes everyday. I do laundry 3 times a week. I have to do it 3 times a week, because I have to wash my fiance's uniforms for work separate. I do a deep cleaning once a week. I at least sweep twice a week. I have a new puppy so Sometimes I have to clean more than needed. I make cleaning for me more funny by listening to music, so it's not so quite or boring.

I like the tv on while doing jobs, trouble is it takes me far longer to od the jobs as I keep stopping to listen and watch the good bits properly!!! Dishes, loads of of it espically on baking day. Good job I like washing up as we have no dish washer. The children are quite good at hoovering but I do have to tell them to do it, they take it in turns
