Why do so many people cough without holding there mouth

Oh I have to agree with you. One of my biggest peeves is bad manners. Since it's cold now, many people have the sniffles and cough so they're everywhere. It's annoying because they can spread their viral infections or what not when they cough or sneeze without covering up. I think it's reckless, disgusting and inconsiderate.

I think they just get in the habit, I know when I had small children and was often carrying one I got out of the habit until someone, "Hubby" reminded me how important it was to cover up. I knew he'd be good for something. Ha!

They do that because they have no manners & no consideration for others.

I agree and as well as you, do not understand why some people can't cover their mouth when they cough or even sneeze for that matter. I saw on the television recently that germs can be spread up to ten feet from a cough! That is disgusting!

I don't like it either the way this kind of people behaves. They always have the I-don't-care attitude which in return has affected not only them, but many others. I have seen these people just cough in public places like food outlet and on the plane. It is so annoying especially when you are taking good care of your health and very concern of the disease might spread, but others just simply choose to ignore it.

That all depends. Sometimes, they may cough without holding there mouth for sickness and can't help doing this. Yes, as you have said above, people should be considerete of others especially when there is swine flu going around, but for various reasons, they may forget holding their months without any purposes. Don't pay much attention to that and be careful to protect ourselves from being infected. Have a nice day.

Can it be that the cough was faster than the mind? Well, it happens that way at times. But surely if a person does this all the time, he is surely does not have enough concern and consideration to the people around him. Swine flu or not, a person needs to practice healthy ways and habits. He should do this not only for his personal gain but for others, too.

I agree to that. It always irritates me whenever I am beside someone who is coughing without even considering to cover their mouth. They are in public places thus having a big chance of spreading the virus. I hope they will be responsible enough with their actions.

That is really a pet peeve moment, but sometimes they are unbearable to do. Swine flu is terrible, and many people are with respirator, especially students. I suggest you arrest others for a cough, and protect yourself.
