This morning on the news from my pc, i got a video link to some of the things ballon boys dad has done on video all ready. i thought i'd share and see what you think. actually, im thinking hes a bit like Octomom! just wants publicity and a show of his own. I think the economy is causing a lot of people to want to be like Jon and Kate and get lots of money just by exploiting their children. its a shame that so many are stooping to trying this dont you think its wrong? and whats worse for me is that when it first happened, i was fooled by him and thought he was on the up and up. i thought he really seemed to worry over his child. heres a link for a video he did before. THIS LINK IS ABOUT THE DISCUSSION ONLY NOT A REFERRAL http://news.aol.com/article/balloon-boy-dad-richard-heenes-kiddie/727829#

Hi bunnybon7, I saw a caption of what happened here and I don´t think they should ever be allowed to have publicity whatever it is. Over here you see we don´t get what happens with these kind of things after. We knew that the little Boy was not in the Balloon and there was a big fuss logically and we all wondered how he would get down. What a to do for the all the Rescuers putting their lives at risk at the very least they should be fined the Parents I mean. Nice to see the little Boy is safe and sound whatever.

Hiya bunnybon, Actually I meant to say in what I wrote above that we did not know that the little boy was not in the Balloon. At first we all thought he was there high up in the Sky drifting aimlessly and could have crashed anywhere and got very badly injured. I would have them fined so as not to use their little Children again in such a shameless way.

Some women will go along w/anything to have a husband. . i think going along makes her as guilty as the stupid man.

yes, they are very wrong but hopefully they will just put him in jail as it seems like he is the one behind it all. i think she just goes along with it. then at least they will have their mother and she will see the error in their ways.

That's a pretty cute video. I'm very resentful of all the worry he caused us all and I certainly hope he suffers some consequences!

Rather than jail time id like to see him pay for all that time spent searching for a child that wasnt lost. He cant pay it if he's locked up.

It is wrong. And think what he is teaching his children with this idiosy! I am floored that the kids aren't taken away from him just because of this. I hope that one of the things that happens to him is that he is made to pay for the National Guard coming to his aid. If Falcon put his talents to work on some constructive and productive areas he could really make it. It is funny how people direct their educations and their know how. He wanted fame. I guess in his twisted way he got it.

The entire situation with this family makes me sick. The more I hear about them and their past and the balloon boy incident, the sicker it makes me feel. I have a six year old daughter and I couldn't imagine faking that she was missing for any period of time. Heck, I about had a heart attack in a store when she was a couple years old when she ran off from me. The thing is, in a certain sense, what the Heene family has done is playing a role in the boy who cried wolf. If one of their children is ever missing is anyone going to believe them. As far as the Boxtown video, that was kind of cute from the clip that we were able to see, but it does also show that he is trying to get publicity in any way that he possibly can.

These people who are exploiting their children have severe mental problems. Why would anyone want to do this to their children? These children did not ask to be born into their situations.

He has been doing this since before the economy took a dive. He is an attention hore and is pimping out his kids because of it. He is a sick man and should just get a real job and try to get famous based on real talent!

I remember seeing his segment on Trading Spouses. It was freaking crazy. He was sooo weird. Its really not suprising to hear he is mainly interested on becoming famous, even if its for all the wrong reasons. Its just such an odd story.. I don't understand who would fake being that strange for a quick 10 seconds of "fame".

i think dads like this would do it despite the economy-he seems to be a big attention seeker.thanks to the media some people are just having kids to market them. look at the king daddy of 'em all-joe jackson. he messed that boy up big time,i'd say.granted they got out of poverty, but at what price?
@bunnybon7 (50973)

true the price was the life, health, and mental condition of his son MJ. thats why i said, these kids on reality shows are going to be the same when they are grown. cameras always on them.

i think people now (if they would just not be able to sustain themselves or their kids) should only have one kid. what is this thing with having a lot of kids anyways? the world is crowded and parent/s either have no jobs or no time anymore to decently care for their kids. peace .

...Hi bunnyboy, This was an interesting story. Tue fact that something fell off the balloon, while it was in the air had everybody wondering what it was. And since the little boy could not be found, that added to the story. But when I heard the missing boy was in the attic with lots of food, I felt it was a hoax being played on everyone. Then we heard the dad called the tv station, before he called 911. That did it for me. I was very surprised, when the sheriff early on, said he didn't think it was a hoax. The little boy blew the lid off, when he answered a question about why he didn't come out when they called his name, and he blurted out that his dad had told him it was for a show, his dad was shocked, then the investigation began. The mom confessed I understand, that it was a hoax. The dad is a strange man looking for fame. Somebody may go to jail, but I am sure we will hear from dad again. I think there is already a video game out, with the theme of balloon boy. Take it easy

..i heard from the news that Richard Heene had attitude issues, hot tempered guy, his wife wants to bail out but she can't because she was thinking of her kids and Richard is the breadwinner of the family..

yes just what i've been thinking. i think he should go to jail and be not allowed to be around the kids. it will force her to look for a better way to raise them.

What they did with their boy and the public trying to find him is horrific. The father should go to jail for it.

That people do this with no thought of how they are affecting their family just amazes me. These are parents teaching their children to commit fraud?! Really, really bothers me. Fame is the only reason he put everyone through this. People who really care and worry will now question everything, and some child will be lost or hurt or die because people like this father has taught us to question and hesitate. It makes me so very angry!

i agree with you now. before i really thought a father wouldnt do this. but how wrong i was. its to bad you need a liscense to drive a car but we dont have tests and liscense you have to get to raise a child. not saying parents should be perfect but there should be a few rules and guildlines as to whether they are sane and love children

I think what he did, using rescue resources for a publicity stunt were terrible. What if there'd been a real emergency and those resources were not available where needed? I think he, and his wife who went along with it should be prosecuted fully, and pay for the costs of the rescue efforts. I do feel bad for the children, who were used as pawns in this. What kind of example did these parents set for them?

He should have to pay for what he did and his wife should also even though she did finally omit it was all a hoax. It is hard on the children but they if they have other family members the children maybe able to stay with them.

well lets hope if he does time the kids can stay with the mother. usually men like that make the woman participate. so he should be the one face jail time.

I think he deserves what he gets if he is really guilty only god knows and of course them too.But it is a shame how people crave attention in life. There will also be people craving attention and wasting our money when we are already at the bottom sinking.I only feel for the kids they will be without their parents and grow up alone.Poor kids dont we have enough of this garb?

i really think people should boycott these reality shows with kids in them that are being exploited like that with no kind of learning material in them for kids.
