Talking is a great art. No everybody possess it. There is a saying in English-- 'a man without money in his pocket must have honey in his mouth'. Talking can mesmerise people. Its great to see people speak in public forums. Public speaking is a very rare art.Are you good at talking and convincing people?

I am a silent type of person. I hate talking. I hate expressing how I feel through words. Sometimes I do wish I have the guts to talk in from of other people, but then what can I do, this is how I am. I just try to put it into writing. I usually write how I feel.

Writing is talking too in a way. Some people just can't think of the words on the spot, so writing is effective in expression.

yes some people are shy to talk. They try to keep eveything within themselves. I am shy to speak before women. Yes writing is also one form of communication. But to say something verbally is truely a skill which some are born with. Others have to acquire it. thx

I am good at public talking, but not talking casually, especially to my close friends. I don't have a control over the words that come out of my mouth when I am tensed or worried. But, if I talk to people who are not very close to me, I make it a point to edit my sentences before it comes out of my mouth. I don't miss a chance of public speaking at my work.

From what my husband says I truly have a way with words. Let's just say he hardly ever wins an argument unless I am tired or busy. Sometimes I give up just to make him think he isn't "always wrong". Talking and choosing your words is an art. The best talkers don't talk a lot but talk effectively. And they never use words that they don't know the meaning of, that is very unconvincing. He tries that sometimes and I just try not to laugh. But give him credit for trying I guess. Great discussion topic!

Hi Preethaanju,
My job asks for it. I am into training and talking is my medium to convey the message to my attendees. I can speak for a whole day training alone without suffering from sore throat or harsh voice. I love talking…talking with sense!
