We had the same dream...

Last Saturday, our dog Sable passed away. She was 11 years old and we had been kinda expecting it. Both my husband and I were out of town, but my oldest son was home with her when it happened. Sunday, when we got home, we buried her in the back yard.
Last night while making dinner I started to tell my husband that I had the wackiest dream the night before (Monday night). He tells me that there's no way my dream was wackier than his, so I proceed to tell him that I had a dream that Sable was really alive and had dug herself out of the back yard and was running around wondering why we had buried her. My husband about fell on the floor because he had the SAME dream!
He did check to make sure she was undisturbed and still where she belonged, but it was so strange for us to both have the same dream. I need to ask my son if he's had that dream too - that would be really strange.
I do miss Sable, and I know it'll be a while before I'm over it.

It sounds as if your dreams reflect your wishes in this case. I know you miss Sable.

Yeah, we do miss her... It's going to be really strange when the dog we're sitting goes home too... Then it'll REALLY sink in...

I am glad that you and your husband had the same dream about Sable. Sable reached out and touched you both. It is a tribute to the love that you have for Sable and Sable for you.

Yeah, it was pretty weird. Sometimes my dreams come true, so that really freaked my husband out!

LOL. Yea I hear ya, my dreams come true sometimes too (usually it's more symbolism- but I have scared a few people by telling them my dream only to have something very similar happen. :) ).. for you, that would have been just too weird.
I just find it so eerie that you both had the dream.. it's very Sci-Fi movie of the week.. lol

Whats weird for me is that i had a dream several years prior to hearing someone else say they had that dream as well. Most dreams have a meaning of some sort. To me its sounds like both of you'll were wanting her to still be there or you'll are in denial that she really is gone. But yeah its weird to share dreams. LOL!

We weren't home when it happened, so it's kinda like it didn't really happen at all. We did bury her and know that she's no longer with us, but it's still kinda strange that when we left town she was ok, when we got home she wasn't...
