This is about myself. I've just finished my engineering in Mechanical. I also got the placement in a Hydropower company. After the college I have joined the job and had worked for two months. We were sent to work site where it was very much remote and the work stress is too much, 12 hours a day and only two days holidays in a month. Now, the problem is that I am a patient of Amyotropic Lateral Schlerosis (ALS). My health was getting bad. So, I took leave and went to the doctor for recheck. The doctor told me not to do stress full work an ask me to take rest or else it will lead to rapid progress. The disease is still incurable and I can only depend on physiotherapy to relax from the pain. Now, I have quit the job. I also get three more offers afterwards in other companies. Till now, I haven't joined any. I am now thinking of Completing my master's degree and go for lectureship in Engg. colleges. To me it seems to be the best option as I my health is likely to get weaker ind days to come. What do you think about my decision ? Please feel free to give your comments. That will really help me. You can search through the web if you wanna know about the disease.

My ideas as a suggestion regarding your two (2) life issue; Health and Carrier. Kindly let me takes first for your 'Health' issue. About your health issue, it's better for you to perform HLB Blood Test, it's very important to obviously look your own red blood cell status and the progress of its oxidation level that already ruined by it systemic ROTS (Reactive Oxidation Toxic Species). The relevant treatment is by taking modern alternative treatment for Chelation therapy. This is my experience sharing and not just my tongue talking. I took both last year for EECP and Chelation therapies. The source links about what it's all about both of it, I embedded at the below section. Secondly, regarding your future carrier life, I support your academic planning to pursue your tertiary learning towards having your Masters' Degree and hopes you're strong enough (physically & financially) to completely enjoy your academic apogee to Ph.D. level. Be a great academic person in future. Health Reading and Viewing materials, the URL link; A. VIDEOS 1. HLB Blood Test - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Wtqs8gOqx1I 2. Wow!! Sorry to hear about your Health issues, and I will be Praying for the Best for you and your health from here on out. Sounds like this would be a Big decision for sure, but with your Health like it is, it is Best to do what is best for your health for sure. I would consider taking the classes if I were you, and then go back to work in something less stressful for you for sure. I think in the long run it will benefit your Health better as well.

I am so sorry you are suffering from such a horrible disease. I think you should do whatever is going to give you the most comfort and the most interest for the remainder of your life. I hope you can find something that will help sustain you for the rest of the time that you have left, maybe if you take it easy and dont stress they will find a cure before you lose too much function.

hi lastain... My suggestion is that, you must choose a job that would be convenient for you to avoid being stressed. Take care of your health and do what the doctor says. Don't wait that your illness would go worse. Life is only once in this world so you must think of it.

Prioritize your health first. As the saying goes, "Prevention is better than cure." So if I were you, you have to consider teaching in college and try quiting your job so that you will not be stress and that your health will not be jeopardized.
