i just made a response to one of the discussion here, i knocked a lot of words, maybe many hundreds of them, i didn't count them. but when i clicked the button of "post response" with my happy mood which satisfied me a lot, momently after my pushing the button, my words have disappeared, i want to get them back, so i quickly click the button on my firefox browser that is a left arrow in green, i don't know how to call it, but that is a feature can take me to previous page that i've browsed, it's a bit like ctrl z in our notepad... but it's nothing then say back to my subject, yeah! my words disappeared like that, this made me a bad experience here, i don't the problem which had, my browser or mylot? this phenomenon isn't the first time that i've met here, i remember, but anyway i think mylot can't escap from this, even though maybe some of reason is mine, but mylot got it too. i think at least, mylot should give me some hint or warning in words or something like that, but when the matter happened to me, there's nothing, just like i never post something anyway, this is a so bad user experience here, i hope mylot can stand out to give a reason or fix it anyway two, i still enjoy here, by the way, now i spend more time on another web earn site, here i don't mention the name, i don't want to advertise or promote

In firefox, the back button seems to refresh the previous page. I could see my words before but now they are not there. Maybe IE does the work. But I may say Opera works best here. BTW I don't use opera anymore... just copy my response so as to paste it again if trouble occurs.. It's not that they knew it beforehand, so even they can't help

yah, there exist some difference between the different browsers. chrome can do the work too just like you said ie does. why firefox can't? they should know one of the factor is more and more people is turning to the chrome in its release day. for me, opera is still a better browser than ie, rather, ie is too terrible. now i am crossing between firefox and chrome, i think if once chrome can let us customize the proxy just like autoproxy, i would completely give up firefox unless firefox can do the better, actually, the fixer is mylot admin, i hope they can release a "why"

More or less the same thing happened to me yesterday. I typed out a long response for a friend who has some discussions with no responses and I am trying to help out but when I submitted it myLot was down for an upgrade I was at work and hadn't saved the long response so all that's left is to go and do it again. It is annoying but no use crying over spilt milk as it won't bring it back. Just go and type it all again, which is what I am about to do with the one that I lost yesterday.

Saving on notepad first maybe a choice to avoid it.

No idea other than pasting to Word each time but that is so tedious. It doesn't happen that often but when it does, it seems to choose those times when I have typed a really fantastic, lengthy, descriptive response

shake hands with you, it's not awful enough to make me cry, what's more, one time i posted a lot of words, my pc suddenly turned into blue screen, you know, i use windows system. i am considering whether these exist some protection equipment, system or some software that can remember our actions and contents when meeting low power, that wouldn't bring us into a tough time back again, in fact, we just need a software can store our texts at any real-time, who knows?

I had experiences with disappearing texts here in Mylot in the past as well. So the I lesson learned is to prepare my post on a notepad or word then paste them here. This way, I can still recover my post if ever the same error occurred to me again.

Try to copy and paste your text before submitting. In that way, you can pasteonce more if the text is not sent. Or you can just do a fast highlight and copy each time before you submit.

Actually, it is the normal thing which happened to everyone. So the only way is that we need to prepare our comments first.

Hi Aprces, It happens here many times, and many times I felt like knocking my computer off. Well, we're dealing with a machine and it can go berserk sometimes. So my solution? When I reached 500 posts the feature copy-paste became available, and so whenever I feel that the internet is not cooperating, or myLot itself seems to have a problem, I type my response on a word document first and then copy the same to myLot. That way I still have my thoughts complete when it gets lost because of system problem.

Sometimes hitting the back button on the browser itself helps. It used to happen to me a lot when I was posting poetry on a different site. Curiously, being a newbie and jumping in head first and not knowing what I am doing. Any advice on being more proficient and efficient with posts.
