Do you still take your kids and grand kids Trick or Treating? I noticed less and less children going out every year. I live in a big apartment complex and there used to be lots of kids on Halloween. Now in the last 2 to 3 years hardly anybody. You think it's to dangerous now a days? I think the safest thing is to just go to friends and family. It's kinda sad that it's coming to this. Halloween used to be so much fun for kids and now it's more dangerous than fun. Do you still go?

Hi missybear How are you doing? Well for myself Im pretty tired right now. I have been moving and trying to get things back in order at the new place. They haven't turned on the internet yet so I have to wait until next Friday before I can get back on the internet full swing. I will be using my sons on a day to day basis. I really miss being on here. Here in our town I have noticed that the trick or treaters are not as many as their was last year. I think that they are going to special places that indoors and alot safer. Where I live now we didnt get any, but I was glad because with everything going on I forgot to get any candy..LOL Have a great weekend and I will try to pop in and out as I can..

I guess I will save some money too. We had nobody last year and I doubt there be any kids this year. That's OK though,I don't have to keep getting up answering the door. Hee Hee

Hey missy! You are right about seeing less and less kids each year! I think that in some cases it's because they get home from school and have to wait for the parents to take them. I know that my neighborhood still has plenty of kids! I think the parents take the kids to the buildings that they know people in. Since I live in a very large Garden Apartment Complex it is alot of walking to get to every section so I think parents kind of stay close to where they live. But, since this will be the first Halloween that falls on a weekend it just might be a bit different! We'll see!

I didn't think about being a weekend. I might just have to get some candy just in case or turn out the lights.

I do but I take them to the mall. Each store has someone dressed up handing out candy. I also take the to waht they call a "trunk or treat" that local churches set up. People dress up and decorate the trunks of their cars and give out candy..church members usually. It is dangerous to go house to house in strange neighborhoods. I don't care much for doing that.

Yes it's really safe and fun. You can also do other things after the trick or treat event-- since you're already in the mall you can do you grocery and weekend dine out treat.

we dont celebrate halloween here on a big scale but i have noticed that kids donot participate much in other celebrations too, maybe its the fear factor you see so many horrifying incidents in the newspaper.

Well, for me, NO!! I have no little kids at this point and you are right!! at this time, it is not safe to roam around the neighborhood specially if you don't know very well about the people in our neighborhood. It is not safe am sure!!! But if they wil go to family and friends that would be ideal.

I have no kids so I guess I just stay home and see if some one knocks on the door tomorrow night.
