Do you shop around

for the best price? or do you just see what you want & buy it? If I'm at home, I will research the price for what I want online but if I'm out in a shopping center, I will check the prices at a few shops & buy nwhat I want from the shop that sells the item cheaper...sometimes it does take a little time to do this but it's all good if I can save a few bucks... What about you?

Which online shopping sites do you use? Please no links or ref links, just names as I don't want this discussion deleted.

I rarely check the price.I usually shop at vintage stores and secondhand shops.what I consider when shopping is the quality.I would like to get clothes that are unique, worth the price, and has great quality.I look around different stores first before deciding which items to buy.

I love shopping at second hand/op-shops too...but when it comes to more expensive items, I have found that it pays to shop around.

I have a hard time shopping around off line because of transportation and mobilitiy issues, so if I want to find something inexpensive I'll look for it on line and order it, or figure out where in advance I can get it locally, and then I will just go to the cheapest place first.

Maybe I should look into doing that too - one of my friends is legally blind & i used to help her shop when we lived & worked together..by help I just mean drive her to the shops...You definately have it sorted & maybe your way of doing it would help me coz then I wouldn't be dragging my 2.5 year old daughter from shop to shop

Hi moonchild. Well, I like window shopping. I will go to shopping complex and make a survey for the price of the products that I want to buy. Normally I like to look the price for the cell phone, laptop, and other gadgets. For the groceries and goods that I need at home I will look first at the price catalog. I think its safe more time than search one by one and compare.

I do the same thing when I have the time...but when it comes to groceries, I usually only shop at the one store so I just look for the specials of the products I want & most of the time i don't worry about the brand name

Hi Moonchild, Like you, I try to check on the price of an item from different stores first before actually buying. I'd schedule a visit to the malls and get the best price, specially if it's a major purchase like appliances or expensive gadgets for my kids. However small the savings is, it is still money that can be used to buy other things so I don't mind the extra effort.

I agree, the savings are better off in our pockets rather than the stores...sometimes it's a pain to shop around but well worth it.
