Can You Change Your Verification Card Details?

I'd like to know this, if any of mylotters friends do know the answer, do help yeah. Recently, I lost my card (the one I keyed in for verifying my paypal account years back). So, since then, I got a new replacement card from the bank (with new account card number). Question is, 1) My paypal account is still verified, but my card number is changed now since I've gotten the new card. 2) Should I let it be, or edit accordingly? But then, I cannot find any edit button for the verification part. 3) I would think it will not affect my paypal earnings, because I receive my funds in another bank account number. But then again, who knows? Thanks for your insight, guys...

I recently received a new card myself. Go to your account at PayPal & add a new card leaving the old card in there. Check the new card as your primary card. Once you do this, you won't be able to delete the old card for about a week. They will still consider the new card as the one to use. They will verify the new card after about a week & you will then be able to go in & delete the old card. Your account is still considered verified from the old card until they verify the new card, so you have NO break in service. I didn't have ANY problems when I changed my cards except for the wait before I could delete the old card. JUST DON'T FORGET TO MARK THE NEW CARD AS "PRIMARY".

I currently receive my funds from the primary account, but for the account verification, it's another card. That's the complicated part. I am receiving funds from account A, but got verified with account B. And this account B is the one that I have gotten a new card number. What I'm concerned about is; can I just leave the matter alone since it's only a one-time verification years back to get my status verified for my paypal account.

If you feel it's safe to assume that nobody will have access to your PayPal account & try to use the old card, I see no reason to add the new card since you won't be using it. Or you can add the card just in order to be honest. Since the account you use has nothing to do with the cards in question, it shouldn't matter. You have been verified & I don't think you become unverified. Actually, at this point, you could probably delete the old card & nobody would notice. PayPal knows who you are now!!! My replacement card was replacing my primary card & I had no problems.

Ahhhhhhhh, I see. So doesn't make a difference. Funny you should say that; it suddenly makes sense to me LOL. When you said that I can't suddenly become unverified. That's right...thanks for this.

Hi zed. No, you cannot edit but if you go into your account you can add a card....add your new card...it will take them maybe a couple of days to verify the new card. Then you will need to delete your old card. It's really quite easy to do. I've had to do it with my credit cards.

I think you have to put the new one in before you can take the old one out. It is under your Profile where it says "Add or Edit Credit Card"--but to remain verified until the new information is updated you want to keep the old number in there. Does that make sense?

Thanks, drannhh..but that's for receiving funds, right? Correct me if I'm wrong. I'm looking for the information on updating/editing the verifying account details. I have no problem with my funds received account number. Only the verified account for my paypal account..or are they the same or what..

So I have nothing to worry about then...thanks drannhh for enlightening on me about this. I shall just continue as per normal, and if paypal sends me an email to trace location or stuff like that, I'll do it accordingly.

I dun think that can be changed.. Because it's supposed to be a verification of your account, for transferring of funds.. So, maybe it's either u start a new papypal account with the new card, or just leave the old account alone.. For any transaction u do in the future, it does not need any verification at all.. haha =D

The account I used to receive funds is still the same. It's only the verification card which have changed.. I think it shouldn't be a problem....like what some friends have said.

Thank you for asking this! I am in a similar situation myself and Lady Marissa answered the question very well and if that fails I'll do what Hatley suggested. Very good topic, I'm so glad you brought it up! Soon we'll both be set right again!

You are so welcome. I decide to just let the matter be and as long as I get my funds, I'll not worry about it at all. Glad to be of help there to your query as well..

Basically you go in you add an new card with the different number then delete the old card. I had to do the same thing in september because my card was stolen too. it didnt affect my verified status. By doing in the order of add new delete old you still have a card associated after deleting the old one.

I do not use a credit card at all now, but my Pay Pal was verified with one. Is there a preferences button or anything like that, or My Profile?

Same with me. I used the card to verify my paypal account, and now I can't find the edit button to change this account number. I receive my funds through another account.. some said I could add new card details on edit account information, but that's for the funds received and not the verifying paypal account.. so I'm wondering about this now too..

i'd leave it be unless they say something. if you lost your old card outside of your house,i would change it eventually though.

By phone? Oh yeah, I've noticed the option... thanks. But I receive my funds through another account. It's the verification account that has been changed. And I can't find the button to edit. As for the receive funds account, there's no problem with it. Because I thought once the verified card has changed account number, I should update it on paypal too. So I could not find that edit button. But my funds received account number is still the same. Only for the verified part.. hope I'm not confusing you, lol.

zed__k4 I know that paypal has a troubleshooter link of some kind because I as a newbie on mylot a long time back did not quite understand how to set it up so I could transfer mylot earnings in paypal to my online bank account. I got the nicest help from one of the female employees of paypal telling me step by step how to do it, so I know that you can get help from paypal for any and all of your questions. So do some investigating,I don't remember just where it was I pressed the correct key but I did get a long email from this paypal employee telling just exactly how to do what I had asked of her. so get some help. okay?

I've had to do it before. I went under my profile to find the edit choice. Just remember to delete the old card off or it will keep it as the main one. It's not hard once you find the option. Good luck.

paypal verification - I cannot find any edit button for the verification part with a new card.
I have never meet such a question before. In my opinion, it is not a serious situation for you. Because your Paypal account has been verified and it won't affect your paypal earnings although you have gotten a new replacement card. But for the long run, to verify your Paypal account with your new card. You see, you will meet some limitations if you want to withdraw some earnings from your Paypal account. As you have said above, you cannot find any edit button for the verification part. Perhaps you should contact the staffs of Paypal actively and let them realize of the detailed information. Then you can verify your account with your new account.

That's the reason I want to edit the verification account number. Because I could draw unlimited earnings, and with this account changed, I'm concerned it will be affected. I have just now emailed the staff of Paypal and awaiting answer. Meanwhile, I seek the opinions of friends here; who knows some of them have gone through the same thing. If only my card wasn't lost, then I don't have to worry about this. That's because I've gotten a new card with a new card/account number to it..
