When did it stop being okay

November 5, 2009 9:14am CST
to be annoyed with something? People now are always saying, oh let it go or it doesn't matter or my favourite, just ignore it! Do you know something It is actually okay if something has annoyed you!!!! You can let it out, it's okay and believe it or not, it's HEALTHY to be angry sometimes! What was the last thing that irritated or annoyed you? What did you do? Did you express your frustration? Or bottle it up?

If you don't have periods of anger or sadness, how do you know (or appreciate) when you are excited or happy? If you have one without the other there is not balance, right? Anger can actually be beneficial in many situations. It certainly motivates us to make changes, right? You already know what my 'pet annoyance' is. Still haven't found any takes though. Eleven months to go.....

Most of the time too much of anything can be bad. So, with that said, I'll say that getting TOO emotional is bad and it's just the same as lacking emotion as well. How I express myself depends on the situation. It's normal to be angry and annoyed but we all have to be careful how we express those negative emotions. Sometimes I let it out and other times I bottle it up when I second guess myself whether or not I'm the one being reasonable.

Yeah, "sometimes" is the key word.

I usually save the blow off "steams" when faced with my own idiocrity! I DO NOT have patience with innept/inadequacy with myself, but am very tolerant of that in others! I guess I can honestly say, I am a pretty moderate person (inherited from my Father) so don't find too many stressors in life! I am truly trying to remember when I last "lost my cool"...and it evades me, so couldn't have been much of a "maelstrom." I do concur, for some "type" persons, it is an absolute necessity, but am uncomfortable around those that use it as excuse to blow their cool. Cheers!

Seems everyone is avoiding drama. But doesn't drama bring the problems to the surface for resolution? If we ignore the problems around us, they will never go away. Can we really be happy bottled up???

I don't think we can.
