For me, it is becoming impossible to live without computer, internet and phone day by day because i am so addicted to it and used to it. Everyday I used to chat with my friends, see the discussions started by my dear mylotters and responding to them, and it has become my daily routine. Friends, do you also feel the same? please share with me your opinion

It is becoming more and more difficult to see how we could function without these things. Of course, not long ago, they didn't exist and somehow we made it. The real problem I see is that there is now a whole generation of kids and young adults that have known nothing else. Their loss would be significant because they have not had it any other way. You are so right it is very easy to become addicted to it. As a result there are many people who live their lives at the keyboard. It stimulates, soothes, and communicates but it will never ever replace the real thing. That is the face to face interaction and reading.

We are so addicted and used to phones and computers that without which we can't live even for a single day. Because our life revolves around it and we are in need of it every other moment. You are so correct and I totally agree with you that nothing can be replaced the real thing that is the face to face interaction and reading. Thanks for your response and keep responding lol

I am addicted to the internet so I would be lost without it. I go to facebook at least 3 or 4 times a day and check my email often so if I did not have a computer with internet I am not sure how I would be.

Hi When one is addicted to one particular gadget, without which surviving is impossible. Even for a while if it goes down, we will become restless and sometimes even insane. that is what happens with me. Thanks for responding

No way to do that. It is pathetic and sad to think your whole life revolves around text messages. Try using your mouth and making words come out if you want to talk to a friend. That would be different.

Yes. I totally agree with you. Some people can adjust and go for any alternate method if their system collapses or phone goes out of order. But the people who are doing some medical transcription or any other jobs, which needs computer, feels it difficult to find any alternate choice. Thanx for responding and keep responding

I understand how you feel on that when your computers internet goes down. Because it bothers me to when ours goes down at times. But normally it never goes down so I am glad of that. I think one time it went down and it took a couple hours for it to come back up.

Hi, I think I can live without the phone but not the computer. Without the phone, I can still communicate with family and friends through emails, messenger and Skpe. It would be terrible if my computer or the internet connection breaks down - I won't be able to work, communicate, myLot or play games!

Yes. If there is no phone, we can chat with our friends and send mails and in this way, we can communicate with them. But nothing can substitute internet. Now that we are deeply addicted to mylot, without a computer and internet it is very very difficult to live or spend our time. Thanks for your response and keep responding

I think I can't live without computer, phone and other electronic stuff, specialy because I need them for school. I used to spend hours on computer before just for fun when I was totally addicted, but when school started I stoped playing it. It was really hard to accept some new habits specially because I gave my life for World of Warcraft game. I still use computer a lot, but just for making some presentations for school and studying by using internet.

Today power was not there for two hours and I went mad. When power came, I felt like jumping. That shows how much I am addicted to computer. When phone line was out of order on one Saturday and I had to wait till Monday to get it repaired, I really feeling bored as if my connection with the world is cut off.

That is what I love about camping - getting away and realizing taht I can live without these items. It is harder and harder to enjoy real silence and peace - but it feels so good when you find it.

I do feel the same. I actually went through that for awhile, because I was in the process of moving and stuff. And my phone was off and I had no internet. My phone was internet capable. It was actually hard to keep busy. Now that I have moved, I have my phone and my internet back. But now my internet is on the computer. But yeah, I agree that living without the internet and the phone is very hard. I'd rather have no tv, and just have my internet and my phone. On my phone I am always keeping in touch with my family and texting and calling my friends. On the internet, I now am spending more time on mylot as well as on other sites. So it does keep me busy throughout the day. So I can no longer say that I am bored.

• India

You are right. Now a days the news is becoming less and unreliable. But I used to watch my favourite serials which I don't want to miss and quiz programmes which also I do enjoy and during that time schedule, if the power goes off, really I feel bad. since I am addicted and glued to the internet always, I can't live without it.

I'm sure i can live without phone, but it's impossible for me to live without computer! If i don't have computer, maybe i would't do anything at all. I'll feel no meaning then. Everyday I read news, whath films, play games, chat with friends all on the internet. If i'm living without computer, it's a trueth that my live will become in a stagnant.

I am so happy that you can live without phone but with computer. But for me phone is a must coz all day long i will be chatting with someone or the other through phone. I will be surfing so many sites in the web. so for me, both are must everyday. I too download so many films and watch it when I find time, play games and chat with some of my friends through the net. Thank you very much for responding and keep responding
