Wouldn't that be a sight?

I heard on the news this morning that an elephant had gotten loose from a circus. He was making his way down the streets. The police did not believe the first 911 calls. That would definitely something to see, but not too close. I bet seeing them try to catch it would have been just as much a sight. Have you ever came across something strange like that?

I have only encountered stuff like that in my dreams. I understand that the elephant and an RV collided, he broke a tusk, but no more severe injuries than that and he is recaptured.

Can you imagine the authorities trying to figure out how to handle that situation? It definitely isn't something they are trained to do.

Well, that would be an interesting site for sure to see an Elephant walking down the middle of the street somewhere, and it would be interesting to see them try to capture him again as well. To think that he ended up getting loose from the Circus and then walk around on his own would be interesting yet scary as how would you know how to even approach the situation, or if he is in the area you need to go just stay put or what?

When I worked at our local high school I had to be to work by 7 in the morning. Walking up through the courtyard in the dim early morning light I heard this loud squeal. It freaked me out. Then it came again. The person behind me heard it too and we yelped and headed for the nearest door. Later we found out that someone had a potbelly pig get loose and it was in the bushes at the school! That was too weird for me to experience so early in the morning!

When we first moved in here, a black bear was spotted heading north toward Folsom lake. There was a helicopter after it, making sure it didn't go into anybody's backyard, I guess. That's about the closest... Must have been quite a sight though!

I hope they do not hurt the poor elephant when he is caught. I think it is cruel to keep such an animal in the circus. They probably don't give him enough to eat.
Probably the police get a lot of prank calls, but 911 should check every one out anyway. That is why they are 911. I have heard of small children calling when their mums are hurt and the operators telling them to quit playing with the phone. Shudder.

I have never seen such a thing but I certainly would not want to be on the staff of the street cleaners after that happened!
When I lived in Arizona we would see javalina and coyotes roaming the streets. I felt sorry for them because the developers destroyed their homes and then call them pests. I'm glad I only rented there, I felt so sorry for those poor creatures. They were beautiful.

I have never seen anything strange like that, especially not an elephant! That would something you don’t often see! (LOL) I can imagine looking out of the window and seeing this big creature strolling down the street! I would think I was having a psychotic episode or something! I would imagine the elephant has been caught by now…No wonder the Police didn’t believe the call!
