Do You Think Green Jobs or Enviromentally Friendly Jobs Help Create More Jobs?

The jobs I'm talking about are jobs in solar panels, wind jobs, or anything that involves renewable energy. I think it helps the environment but creating more jobs is a different story. I just don't see it creating more jobs as less money is needed for renewable energy sources. I could see people possibly losing jobs due to green energy. Finances are not as much of a worry but for the unemployment rate thats over 10% now its definitely worse. Shouldn't that be the beauty of green energy though since money isn't as much of a problem in the long term? I still think theres at least some way for the green jobs industry to prosper while at the same time helping the economy to grow. Either way about it renewable energy is the future. Whats your thoughts?

I do think the wind jobs would really take off if they just got to work on it I have heard they are training people to put them up. Solar panels cost so much to install on your house I do see it going to far right now with poeple out of work. Really thin they need to drill here and drill now! get some of the oil riggs working again that is just setting there very stupid of then lertting them all lay Idle!

oil will still be around even with renewable energy because so many products are made with oil. theres a long list of stuff i looked up online thats made from oil.

Yeah I think that Green Jobs and Environmentally Friendly jobs can help create more jobs because they are expanding and will need more help. Our society should really be thankful for any new job opportunities we can get. It should be important to us to try and come up with more environmentally efficient ways of living so we aren't burning through so many resources.

If more of us insist on green products more jobs are created. Demand always creates jobs.

this is an interesting take on renewable energy - and you might be right about it (none of the jobs involved in finding oil etc are required after all). although setting things up will provide extra jobs in the short term. however outside of renewable energy there are a lot of environment related jobs (just recycling for example provides a lot more than just arranging for everything to be dumped somewhere) so i think it evens out.
