We are living in this modern world, where various technologies are widely available to make one's work easier and faster. Communication is one example and there are different ways to get in touch with family, friends and other people via email, phone, television, radio or live chat. The use of those technologies had been so powerful part of our daily lives. The evolution of media used for communication is so amazing. For you, what medium do you usually use to communicate with you family or friends?

Mostly computers and cellphones are what I use. Gone are days when we have to write letters and wait for a week to receive a reply of costly long distance telephone calls. Now the prices of communication is much much lower than before. We owe it a lot to the advent of modern technology and competition amongst providers in the market. It results to a much lower cost.

My friends and family rarely use their emails, so the best way to get in touch is through the old fashioned phone. Actually, my friends all live in short driving distance, so more often than not I just go over their house to chat. I am into all that high tech stuff, but no one else I know is. But they all know that if there is some quick thing they want to inform me about they can send me an email and I will be sure to get it that day.

Basically it's cell phone, We always use cell phone to communicate, it's better and less hassle. Second is YM, through chat I can communicate with my sister outside of the country, We don't usually use E-mail. It takes time, if ever we use the OFFLINE message in YM. ^_^ for my friends, it's either through chat or social network. if ever that I didn't have he's/her YM account ^_^ BTW, we use YM a lot other than skype or any chat application ^_^ Enjoy mylot ^_^

Thank you for your response. You are right that there are lots of possible ways to communicate with others, though sometimes, the use of those media depends on the distance and the receiver. So, if its outside the country and considering the cost, better use free chat application, email, social networks, skype or voipcheap. Cellphone is really a great too communicate with others but quite expensive if you use it abroad.

Hi jaz2009, as new technology brings more and more sophisticated devices for the convinience of the masses to keep in touch and communicate with each other, i still use the good old phone to keep in touch with relatives and friends who are near and i use the internet to keep in touch and communicate with relatives and friends who are far away. this is mainly done to keep the costs down and not getting broke after a long chat with friends or relatives from abroad.lol. thank you and a happy mylotting!!!!

communicate with family or friends - there are many ways that allow us to communicate with our family or friends timely.
I used to use my cellphone to keep in touch with my family and friends. But now, I prefer to use some tools online to communicate with them. In the past time, we don't have many options to keep in touch with others. But in this modern world, with the development of various technologies, there are more and more tools and free services that allow us to keep in touch with our friends and family timely. For example, through some social network sites, we can communicate with our old friends all the time and don't worry about losing touch with them any more. Besides, I often use some IM tools to chat with my classmates too.

Most of the time for me I communicate with my cell phone. My second means of communication would be emails. However, the one technology I love the most when communicating with family and friends would have to be skyping. To be able to see the person you are talking to on the computer and they see you is one of the best inventions ever.

I made my mom to learn how to use the computer and that made our lives easier. Now, not only she enjoys it but it's so much easier to keep in touch with her. Befre it was only phone and fax, now, there is e-mail and recently - only Skype. Internet and modern technologies are made for you to make your life easier but notice how lazy we have become - I prefer to texma my mom to ask her if she has tme for chit-chat in the evening and then, on Skype we spend hours on catching up. Wonderful comfort - I hear her, I see her and I see what's around her... So... Skype for me... have a good one everyone!

I use my cell phone to make calls sometimes. Other times I use a land line phone. But i think my biggest way to get a hold of people I know is face book. All of my friends and family are on facebook. So we keep in touch that way.

Hello. For me, these days, emails are the most frequently used way of keeping in touch with friends, family members, and business associates too. I do use the telephone once in a while, but for long distance calls, they become fairly expensive. I don't use the cell phone at all except when I am out of town and traveling overseas.

I use my cellphone to communicate with my family, we usually call eachother, but we also send eachother text messages every once in while. Both of my parents have learned to send text messages, but they usually prefer to call instead. I also use my phone when I communicate with my friends. My cellphone if nice if I want to chat or ask a quick question, but if I want to write a long letter, I choose to send an email instead. I like writing long emails to my friends. When I want to communicate with friends from other countries it is very convenient to send an email, because it is less expensive than using the phone.

Phone. Definitely. My mom mastered that so far. She'll nagged if I used something that she doesn't catch up yet. Besides, phone is widely use here. Almost everyone has a phone, from little kids to the eldest. It's easier to communicate with it. I tried webcam but the video was not in a good quality so I don't really like it. Perhaps I need one with good quality (and more expensive)

These days I use the internet a lot because most of my good friends and close family members live far from where I am. Phone calls are more expensive because of long distance charges. Usually we get on chat or talk through voice calls. IF we cant do that, then we just email.
