I call travel a stress reliver. I am glad to get away from my everday grind. It's a pleasure to be somewhere different, spend time with people who I have never met and hear about their lives where they live and what they do. I enjoy flying, training, cruising and any other form of traveling. Spend a week on a criuise ship and let me know if you're stressed.

It really depends on the individual. Some people stress out about everything, other can deal with whatever comes up. Obviously the more constraints we have, the more stressful it can be.

I find travel very relaxing except when I am on a tight schedule developed by some one else.

I think being in a destination can be relaxing, interesting, enjoyable and exciting. Traveling by train I really love and it can be fun by bus. Going by plane isn't all that comfortable but at least it is fast. I always come back from a trip feeling happy and refreshed. Airport security can be annoying just like insects that bite. Traveling is one of my top hobbies.

For people who have the interest to explore the nature and culture of other places, travelling should be relaxing. Although during travel, the schedule is different from staying at home, which might cause physical stress, but after a couple of days, the inpact of different scenes and people would soon get you refreshed. As resident of busy cities, we do need from time to time a travel to get refreshed. But for the aged, better avoid to travel in extreme weathers and seasons. Travel is great!

For me travelling is always refreshing except when I am travelling for work. Going on a holiday recharges my batteries so to say and I always return to work with a fresh mind and body and feel like a new person at least for a few days after my vacation. It does reduces the stress quite a lot.

I enjoy traveling and camping. Sure there are still chores that need to be done, but all in all, it seems to be a stress reducer. There seems to be no, or very little, time constraints which is one thing I stress about the most in my daily life. In fact, I am planning another camping trip in a few weeks. Stress has been getting to me, time for a relief.

A vacation where I didn't plan much can be stressful sometimes, for instanse if I haven't made any hotel reservations from home and have to walk from place to place trying to find a room. If my flight is delayed or cancelled or if my suitcase gets lost that can be stressful, too. But generally travelling reduces stress instead of increasing it. I love travelling and it makes me very happy to visit a new place and to explore a new country. I love sightseeing, eating the local food, meeting the local people etc.

If it was traveling for pleasure then I'd say it reduces stress. If it was for business or work, I'd say it increases stress. Most of the time, travel for business requires a time frame and things to achieve so there is pressure, that's why. For pleasure, you just go and enjoy yourself.
