Colorful Rainbow colors

Everyone must be shocked when they logged in to mylot today as their star ratings have mysteriously changed. I wonder why mylot suddenly change their system without warning. The blues no longer command the upper ranks and we are forced to accept the humiliation of being degraded to colors that is so unfamiliar to us. They seemed to have displayed the rainbow colors, the colors that are rarely used before. Now no one can blame anyone for this senseless rating as everyone has been thrown into the world of mystery in mylot. It will take us some time to get used to seeing the new colors in our stars. These rainbow colors might have different meanings behind them and no longer depicts the level of individuals.
In the past the star ratings have been abused and did not really serve their true purposes. What ever it means, you are not going to fly away because of the changes in your star ranking. Though it is demoralizing to see our hard works being wiped out instantly, these colorful rainbow colors might be rewarding in some other ways to benefit us. It is too early to assume something is not working right. I personally think the rating system is annoying, but it is quite fair due to the number of spam that gets posted in a day. What are your thoughts right now?

I do agree that the ratings are a bit annoying and part of me wishes we didn’t have them at all although I did like my blue star and my reputation ranking! (LOL) It is interesting to think that maybe the system may have changed. I hope we find out soon. What kind of glitch would drop everyone’s stars? It’s all too strange...Oh well we will be informed soon I’m sure! I would not be upset if they did away with the stars altogether!

You are lucky to have experienced the blue star before the tsunamic wave wipe them away. Even though the star rating is annoying to certain extent but there is of course the competitive edge to reach the highest star ranking and being in the blues boost the ego.

Being honest I haven't noticed this apart from people moaning about the number in their stars, guess it's because I haven't been here regularly for a while but now you have said this will keep an eye out it might be interesting..LoLo

wow....you have your own 'baby' to care for? An admin, no joke...it is a heavy responsibility and now I understand what keep you away for so long. You can always juggle between there and here. I know it is not easy multi-tasking but I believe you have all the capabilities of running here and there.

HI zandi, it isn't cos I haven't wanted to be here believe me, but am admin on another site, it started with a reaosnable amount of numbers but now is getting so big it takes up most of my time now..believe me though I do miss you all here and would love to take more time am trying to come here as often as possible now, though somerimes it isn't poss because of the responsiblity of helping with the other site..and that doesn't pay a dime! Sometimes I do wonder why I am doing it..so now you know the real reason..hope to speak soon...LoLo

I think it was a glitch in the system.
Cos I too noticed the changes in our ranking a few days back.
I felt weird, but never thought much about it. Cos the next day, everything was back to normal.

Yeah... for a moment I thought something I did caused the fall in ratings.
I was puzzled as well. And scoring thru the posts I posted recently to see if I offended anyone that cause that person to rate me negatively to the point where I only got a 6. That is when I realized that everyone was a 6 that day, regardless of the discussion or the response.

My first thought when i saw my new star was, boy, i must have p.o. somebody then i got to looking at everybody's & saw theirs had changed to. Hope it's just a glitch, guess time will tell.

To tell you the truth Zandi I don't even know my colour I think Im purple I have to check it out [ I don't like colour purple] I like bright colours so I will aim to have a red or something and Im not going to fly away, like you say is too early to assume any thing so lets wait and see what happens.

This sis indeed demoralizing to see our reputation going downwards. But there must have been some scheme. If mylot admin had it in mind they should have prior informed us that they were going to change the system. what came this evening is like a bolt from the blue. All the blue and red turning to pink. A mystery that is beyond our solution.
Well if our input was not up to the mark they could have conveyed the message in the form of Alert. But what is this?

mylot star and rank has return with its old color and rating. I'm thankful to mylot administrator. i also feel honor again. I'm happy to saw all of my friend's rank came back too. mylot is so kind, lets we love it much and more.

Well I see blue and red stars with the people on this page, so perhaps it is back to order.
I'm new and hopping to get my own star soon. Although I do believe i need to make at least 100 posts yes? It's an interesting feature here on the site, but it seems a bit wish washy to me in some ways. Anyone can give a positive or a negative. If it was mylot admins that would make more sense.
I wonder if this site has mods and admins to help the site and wathc for mistakes and posting abuse.

Have you checked your reputation. A magic wand appeared from no where and made most of the stars different colored. Have we been degraded? Those with blue start are with pink and also with nine.
what is this after all? do you have any clue to it. I am sad that this is applied on all. Could be a bug or what could change. I was with 90 and now with 60. A loss of 30 lol.

Hi Zandi, i was surprised to see the changes of my star color when i log-in today. This morning, i saw my star color is still blue in color. Only a few hours ago, when i log-in again to reply to those who had replied to my older discussions, then i discovered that my star color had changed. Anyway, i don't feel much sad, as i seldom visit mylot now, maybe because i am inactive then it's another reason why my star color had changed. Anyway, lets just hope this changes will bring to another good reward in return...
