"The Politically Correct War" = An Oxymoron. Another take on Ft. Hood.

The terms "politically correct (P.C.)" & "war" are so at odds they shouldn't be in the same breath, let alone in the military. The 2 are anathema! P.C.ism is the enemy of freedom. The tool of totalitarianism. Further, the military is--by virtue of its profoundly necessary nature--not about "diversity!" In fact, it's deliberately designed to have its soldiers kneel to Uniformity as is humanly possible. There's a reason the soldiers wear u n i f o r m s, to put a fine point on it. They live extremely regimented lives. They all take the same loyalty oaths, all expected to adhere to the same mindset about obedience, rules & goals, all rise & retire at the same hour, eat the same foods, do the same tasks, even wear the same clothes, barring symbols of rank. Throughout time, history has proven that when an army does this, it forges a disparate group of men (& only lately--some women, but that's another post...) into a single, hard as steel weapon. It's NOT "An Army of One," as the P.C. ad tried to portray it, but one solid wall of force all aimed at the same target: procuring the peace & safety of the country, by any means that work--allowing only the right to dissent when given immoral orders, such as massacring innocent people. Armies who don't do this doom themselves to enter history books as Losers. Military historians agree. When confronted with the uniform evil of the militant jihadist, who doesn't care about innocent people, it isn't just foolish to "accommodate" diverse opinions or "nice" ways of dealing with such a monsters it's downright deadly, & maybe even immoral, as it tolerates evil, thus allowing innocent people's slaughter. "Yes, I know jihadists are people, but a group of them is not; that becomes an inhuman beast, a mob, writ large. And it's the mob's group's mindlessness against which we have to war to remain free, or free others. Besides, the individuals in that super-mob are ultimately responsible for their evil. It is not "evil" to exterminate rabid dogs. Those "people" who strap bombs to children, or drive planes into non-military habitations have chosen to be evil. It doesn't matter a fig that they don't think they're doing evil! THEY ARE STILL DOING EVIL, & must be stopped. This is as basic as it gets, folks. So, turn loose the military; free them from the ball & chain of P.C.ism! If there's any common sense left, civilian society should do the same, for the survival of freedom...of the U.S. itself. What happened at Ft. Hood was a terrorist attack, & clearly could have been prevented. The P.C. people who did nothing to prevent a jihadist from carrying out his repeated threats have his innocent victims's blood on their soul-less hands, & should be dishonorably discharged. And the shooter should be shot like the traitor he is, not put on civilian trial. Maybe you've heard? There's a war on.... Maggiepie "IMPEACH THE IMPOSTER!"

Political correctness has been a blight on, not just our nation but, the world. As far as the shooter at Ft. Hood goes, I'm for cruel and unusual punishment. I think he should spend the rest of his life in solitary confinement, have only the Holy Bible to read, and a television with only one station CBN; but if they execute him, so be it. I don't think charging him with just 13 counts of murder is enough. He should also be charged with 31 counts of attempted murder and treason. The people who let him slip through should also be punished.

Well, because I fully support the Constitution, I can't agree with "cruel & unusual punishment (which doesn't include execution)," but other than that, yeah, baby! Oh, except it was 14 people he killed, not 13. One victim was pregnant... Maggiepie IMPEACH THE IMPOSTER!

Sorry, forgot to ask you--what station is CBN? I don't know that one, I don't think, anyway. I think I'd have chosen either Fox News, soo that he'd be forced to hear some truth before he's executed (solitary confinement has a certain appeal, but what if he got paroled by some P.C. idiots??), or something utterly boring (to me, at least), such as the radar weather channel pattern, or maybe an all-yodeling, all the time channel, or some other truly dull channel. Oh wait, I have it: one of those shopping networks that has inane chatter & truckloads of junk, 24/7. ...Then again, that would probably only convince him he was correct in his hatred of America after all. Oh, well, whatever, But bottom line, he should never again be comfortable in the country which he betrayed! Maggiepie IMPEACH THE IMPOSTER!

This is why I stay outta the politics section. I hate it, don't follow it, and confuzzled by it. All I can say in this discussion is the azzhole who opened fire on his comrades should be shot/hanged, not put on trial.

Believe me, I thought of that! I'd hold the coat of the person with the shovel, too. Only, let's just bury him up to his chin, so he can enjoy his fate 'til he starves... Whom, I? Cruel & vindictive? Only in my imagination, but I guess that's not good either. Still... Maggiepie IMPEACH THE IMPOSTER!

as a military person on a military base, I rather DOUBT that he'll be put on a civilian trial - I agree with most of what you are saying tho...

I wish I knew that were certain, however, with the current ignorance & arrogance of the political bunch clogging up Congress & the White House talking about doing just that, I wouldn't bet on it not happening. Don't forget, these are the totalitarian politicians who want to Mirandaize prisoners taken in war in the barren hills of Afghanistan! Our Founders are surely weeping...
