Is it ok to hide importan things from your friend(s)?

I think it's normal to keep some secrets for everybody. Because everyone has things not want to tell anybody, it should belong to privacy. I don't think it's a problem if people hide things from friends. If it's very important, depends on important of what.

It depends on if it is their business. I don't share everything about my life with my friends but I don't look at it like I am hiding things from them. Some friends know more about me than other friends do. Are these things important to me or important to them?

There are times when the best thing to do is to keep things to yourself. If the said "friend(s)" are gossipy, or like to tell little stories, then it would really be in your best interest to let the problem tide over.

If what we are hiding does not concern him or her at all, I do hide them. Being friends doesn't mean you have to tell all your private things. Remember, some friends are not forever. I had a best friend once, and she turned against me when she was in love with a man that really has set his heart on me. She became my enemy, and told everybody about my secrets, and it hurt me so bad. She even make jokes out of them. So be careful of what you tell other people, it can turn to your disadvantage one day.
