Have you overslept at noon breaks & when you wake up, you see everyone working?

During the one-hour noon breaks at work, all of us would take a nap. We switch off the lights in order to conserve energy. One time, we saw that one of our office mates was still sleeping after the break, calmly leaning his back against his chair, with mouth open (hahahaha). We were gently calling him to wake him up but he didn't open his eyes. He only woke up when someone gently shook his shoulder. He was so surprised as he opened his eyes (must have forgotten where he was, hahaha) to see the lights on and all of us already working. Poor fellow, he was so embarrassed as he went at the back office to tidy himself. We prevented ourselves to laugh but some others released giggles at the event. Have you had the same similar experience such as this? What did you do?

We didn't have a break room at my old work but we had a courtesy room which was a room with a television in it. Since I was the only one who went to lunch when I went to lunch I was able to have the whole room to myself. It had a big comfy leather couch in there. One day I was not feeling really well, I only had a half hour lunch so I decided to lay down instead of eating, but fell fast asleep. Everyone knew I was not feeling well so they let me sleep an extra 15 minutes before somebody finally came in and got me. I was very embarrassed as well.

That was excusable as you were not feeling well. The management allows that for humanitarian reasons, I am sure.

LOL, I'm lucky this never happened to me. If it did, I think I would get fired. I have had some colleagues who have overslept during their breaks. They always get that "dirty look" from other work mates who don't quite appreciate the snoozing.

Hahahaha, not just "dirty looks" but all kinds of looks were aimed at him, I guess. When we are at work, we should exercise restraint in things that break office rules. Better still, never try doing it if you cannot control yourself. During lunch breaks here, I use my time to get online. It is the best time to check on mails or play games. Thanks!
