I seen a lot of advertising which are meticulously made to attract the buying public to patronize their products launching hundreds of advertising campaign in different forms ranging from different media outlet such as television, billboard, internet, and newspaper. However, I am not satisfy with the way manufacturer advertised which do not gives enough truthful information about their products leaving the public filled with different inquiries which remain unresolved as of today that you have doubts with their products performance and reliability. thanks . Do you think that it is the responsibility of the manufacturers to tell the public the truth about their products through advertising? Could you gives a sample in your own opinion of products which you think is still in need of further review before being launch in the market?

i wonder if you have heard about 'fine print', 'conditions apply' or 'under test conditions'....these are the things that companies don't want you to know about. unfortunately there is no one to stop them from making a fool of the customers..so the customers have themselves to be careful in what they buy.

I think manufacturers should have to tell the whole truth about the products they are selling. They do not always do this though. I do not think it is fair or right but it isn't the law to make them do so either.

hi steph, that right as the consumer welfare should be the first priority rather than profit. as when their products is of good quality their good reputation becomes high. their should be no cover up and the consumer need to know the truth rather than making the products appear excellent when it hardly fall to becoming average. thanks.

I guess the manufacturer will have to tell the truth of what the consumer will benefit on their products. They have to be transparent to consumer because through consumer their product will get sell. If consumer do not believe in the product how do their business could grow. Example of the product that needs to be review further is those capsule with L-gluthathione. Gluthathione is an oxidizing agent and mostly needed by person who have liver problems, but the side effects is it will whitens yours skin. Some buy it because they want to have a lighter skin, so if a company is selling this kind of products they have to be truthful of the amount of materials that lightens the skin of the consumer. Consider the case of Lucida-S.

It's definitely the responsibility of manufactures to be telling the truth of their products.. BUt most often than not, they will be hiding some facts, as they think it's negliable.. haha =D And to them, money is more important, as compared to the public's health.. IF anything goes wrong, they wont be taking much responsibility, as they always have some kind of warning to consumers about products Thus, that's their excuse to shun off any complaints or whatever
