I just want to know from those who have ideas on how to clean the carpet easily without using chemicals. To me, it is a hard labor Scraping the dirt from our carpet. I use carpet cleaner before but it did not work. Do you have an idea of how to take out the spots on the carpet an easy way without chemicals? Thanks for sharing your knowledge I need it.

I'm not sure what you mean "without chemicals." Even soap is a chemical...do you mean toxic cleaning solutions like you'd spray on your carpet? I've shampooed my carpets before with a carpet cleaner rented from the grocery store. It has always worked great. Is it just dirt or is it stains? Sometimes dirt/stains are so ground in and worn into the carpet...they'll never come out, unfortunately. If you don't want to use any sprays, i'd look in to the organic section of the store or visist a health foods super market because they'll have non toxic cleaning supplies (although be prepared to pay a lot of money). I don't think you have much of a choice but to use some type of solution to get the dirt out of your carpet. But I do have advice for getting stains out when they happen. Use soap and water ASAP on them, like as soon as it occurs. My dog got red sweer and sour sauce on our living room carpet and that's all i used and it came right out! But I did it within 20 minutes of him spilling it in there.

Hi Bebs, I don't know how to do it without using chemicals, dark spots can be removed by using window glass cleaner.....I have tried it and it works...

Hi che, Thanks, I can try that too. We have window glass cleaner but I never know that it can help my problem. There are lots of dark spots in our carpet due to charcoal.

Hi friend! I hope you will find these simple tips helpful: You have to vacuum more open so that the dust will not accumulate. Use hot water to remove dirt from the carpet easily even without using detergent. If there are stains you can remove with a mixture of 1/3 cup vinegar with 2/3 cup warm water and apply to the stain. Then blot with a clean towel and repeat until the stain comes clean. To remove carpet odor you can sprinkle baking soda over the surface of the carpet and let it stand for 15 to 30 minutes then vacuum. Make sure you cover your have nose and mouth are covered so you will not inhale the baking soda.

Oh really? only that simple? vinegar? I've heard about vinegar being used in cleaning the bathroom and I did it, it works fine. Thanks my friend, I will try the vinegar and hot water to remove the stain in our carpet. I don't like to use the remover with chemicals in it. About baking soda? I never tried it. Thanks...

The best time to get rid of a stain is pour dilute vinegar on it and scrub. If it is old, steam clean or use Resolve. Sometimes, miracles cannot be performed. Sorry. I steam clean mine with vinegar and baking soda. Don't put too much baking soda, it'll fizz. The smell lasts only a few minutes. It leaves it fresh and clean and eliminates odors, and protects your carpet!!
