Do you celebrate Thanksgiving? If so, what do you usually make for dinner? Ham, Turkey, other? And what time is the dinner usually ready? We always have a Turkey for Thanksgiving, and dinner is usually ready by 3-4 pm. I don't like to make it too early.

I don't think we'll be having a special Thanksgiving dinner this year. Our finances are being stretched enough and I don't think we'll have the funds for the extras. I hoping to get a part time/seasonal job though!

Maybe if you go to your local Salvation Army they would give you a Turkey. I know they do that here, especially if you have children. I hope everything works out for you and your family. *hugs*

Thanksgiving Dinner - thanksgiving spread
We do the full scale celebration, whether we are having 3 or 15 for dinner. I fix Turkey, mashed potatoes, gravy, dressing, a relish tray, cranberry sauce, corn, a pistachio salad, rolls, sweet potatoes (maple), and top it off with pumpkin and chocolate pie. We usually eat between 2-3 in the afternoon. I would prefer between 3-4 myself.

Sounds deliscious!I do the sweet potatoes, too. I chop them up and add cinnamon, brown sugar, water, and flour, then bake it for about 45 mins. Yum!

I don't celebrate the Thaksgiving day. I am Italian and, obviously we celebrate different day and different things.

Are you living in Italy now? Just curious because my ex husband's mother is a full blooded Italian, and she celebrates Thanksgiving, but she has moves to the states.

Thanks for your reply. Sounds like you have a big family. :) Ham is good too. We usually have it for Christmas.

We celebrate Thanksgiving. We usually have a traditional turkey dinner with many side dishes. Dinner time varies a bit though.
