How do you treat your asthma?

Are you suffering from asthma? I would say that asthma can be a killer disease if not treated immediately. I had a brother who is suffering from this illness. Every time he was attacked by asthma he should be brought to the hospital for treatment. One time when we are watching a television one of the show featured about alternative medication for asthma. Have you seen a lizard, that little creature up in the ceiling. won't you believe it is the cure for asthma but he tried the risk to took it as a medicine. Believe it or not he was cured and until now he was not being attacked by asthma.

I was plagued by my asthma as a young child and was prescribed becotide and ventolin inhalers by my doctor. I would have to take them twice at least three times a day as a preventative measure and then whenever I started to have an attack. Mysteriously, for about ten years after that I didn't suffer with my asthma and I thought I had grown out of it until it started up with a vengeance earlier this year. The best way I treat my asthma is by avoiding foods, activities or environments which set it off. This isn't so useful for people who experience spontaneous attacks but I found that mine was often triggered at these specific times, but not always. Whenever it becomes too late and an attack begins beyond my control, I have to try and stay calm. Panicking only makes it worse as I gasp for breath and that causes me to hyperventilate more. I don't often have inhalers to hand so if possible I sit or lie down and try to take deeper breaths. Eventually it passes by itself. I find that the mind plays a main role in controlling my asthma. Keeping calm and not panicking tends to relax me a lot quicker whereas being tense makes it a lot harder to regain control of the situation. The old brown paper bag trick works a treat or getting outside in the fresh air. I am lucky enough not to suffer with attacks so severe that they would be fatal however it is something I deal with on a daily basis and probably can't be treated. I don't know the lizard of which you speak but my GP is looking into a stronger prescription for me to help ease up the wheezing and the tightness of my chest when I am really suffering. My aunt has to go into hospital sometimes because of her asthma and they gave her a machine she needs to wear when she sleeps and a giant inhaler she must carry with her at all times in case it strikes. Asthma can be a pain in the butt - but if you know how to treat it it's almost as if you don't suffer with it at all! I'm glad that your brother is well now.

I have heard about this too, i was told that a homoeopathic medicine is prepared from house lizad, it is highly effective i don't say if one will eat a lizard raw or cooked to get cured for asthma.. asthma is due to pollen grains, one should avoid it lol, dust too.. Thanks for sharing Happy posting, cheers. Namastey. Kalyani
