dictionary of terms: Parkour aka the art of moving, is a physical discipline of French origin in which participants run along a route, attempting to negotiate obstacles in the most efficient way possible, as if moving in an emergency situation, using skills such as jumping and climbing, or the more specific parkour moves. The object is to get from one place to another using only the human body and the objects in the environment around you. On real, mean also practicing al kinda tricks on most unusual and dangerous places, like the edge of a high building ... Family I mean first of all and mostly parents, eventualy biger brother or sister; in some rare cases where parents are not available and child is raised and educated by other relatives, I mean those relatives (uncles, aunts, grandfather, grandmother). School I relate it to teachers who interact with the child. Society I take it as a sum of grown up people, relatives or not, being in dayly relation with the child, others than named above. =============================== A couple of days a go a shoking news emerged in my country. Marius Nitoi, an 11 years old boy has been found dead and was clear he fall to the ground from the top of a near by block of 10 flats. Marius was part of a divided family. His father is in Italy at work, from some years now, her mother probably had working hard to provide money, his grandparents were living at country, in a small village. Marius proved to not be a very good schoolboy. he had severeal bad notes, specialy at math, where he had twice 3 (romanian notes: 1 to 10, 10 being the best). Marius's friends know and sustain he was practicing a sort of street-parkour, making all kinda "stunts" and often registering himself doing it with his mobile phone. Usualy he was sending those clips to girls .. with 1-3 year older than him .. In the event day, evening time, he leaved the school earlyer saying he want to go to his grandparents. After dark he somehow manage to enter in in that building (usually blocks have door locked), gone to the roof and .. landed down and died. His mother and grandparents sustain his father (which was separted by his mother but being in contact with the boy and sending him money) was very angry on him because of his math notes and threaten him with suspending poket money and some other punishments, therefor is to be blamed the math teacher .. From school, teachers sustain he was not so good at many matters, having not so good notes and being a kinda kid often trying to solve issues with coleagues by force .. Some friends sustain he was practicing parkour stunts very often together .. There are voices saying they were several on top of that block in that afternoon .. teachers sustain it can not be a suicide, more probable an accident ... Marius Nitoi seems to be left a note on a back page of his math copybook, actualy a very brief note: "Good bye, farewell!". =================== I blame the family 90% and school + society, 10%. I have said many times, even here on mylot, (on disscusions about abortion right to choose) that HAVING A CHILD is an act of supreme responsability and ALWAYS, no exception, before decide to have one, future parents should be questioning themself if they feel able to carry on this responsabilities, if they are ready for that, if they are sure they KNOW HOW to raise and educate a child .. Now, what do you think ?

I think he was acting out, by studying parkour, and attempting the stunts. I believe that whether friends were with him or not. He did not feel loved, or like part of the family.

I think that Marius' parents and family should have been there for him. If he seemed to be having any problems then his relatives should have provided some help or support, but apparently they were not close enough to him. I do blame the family, but not as much on the schools. His family is the one that should have known him the best and should have been supportive of him, but they did not do that. If they paid more attention to him I'm sure they could have prevented this. . .
