I am very interested in the field of goup dynamics. Also, I focus on group learning and collaboration in the online environment. In common, people like to join in the team or group in the online communities. Such as facebook, twitter, myspace......If there is a platform aims to improve teacher collaborative research and teaching, do the teachers like to join in the group or team voluntarily? What factors influence the teachers to make such dicision? what is the motivation? The informal learning organization are very attractively, why the formal learning environment can not attractive people to participate in the activity? what activity do teachers focus on?

Well I originally joined mylot to try and earn a little bit of extra money and with the use of mylot you can do that. Mylot also provides a good means of entertainment and helps me pass the time pretty well.

yeath, mylot is a very attractive website. I think in the informal environment, people can do some relax activity in their spare time. So, they feel very relax and they like to join in these groups. So, you consider mylot helps you pass time pretty well. I think providing a good means of entertainment is a feature of mylot.

The informal learning activities usually are more attractive because it is done by the personal interest. The students can discuss in various topics in the informal discussion. However they can only discuss on the certain topics during the formal discussion in the class. By the way, are you a teacher? This is my opinion for you, if you want your students to focus on your formal lesson, you need to teach the class according to their interest. Did you ever heard about the Howard Gardner "Multiple Intelligent"? If you are able to apply the theory in your lesson, It should help a lot.
