I never have anything like this so I hope I am not getting sick. But I woke up twice last night hot and sweaty. First time I was having a nightmare the second time I was dreaming I was in the hospital with a 112 fever. What do you think could cause this? I hope Im not catching what my son had..

Hi mommy That is hard for me to answer because I get these every night. I know what mine is. Im having those darn hot flashes. They have been going on for a few years now. I do get a break from them for a few weeks and then they hit me again. I am having them now and have had for about a month. It is heck on the sheets and PJ's..lol That might be what is happening with you. I have been told that Vitamin E is real good for this but it does take about six weeks for the Vitamin to get into the system good. Have a nice day and keep smiling.

Hot flashes was my first guess as well. I hate them, there's nothing worse than waking up wanting to know who wet my bed!! I'm trying the vitamin E thing, but am only into week one.

I too am on the vitamin E. I have been on it for about a weeka and half. The doctor said that you could take up to 400 grams a day. I wish the best and hope that it works for us. Have a good cool day my dear.

not to scare ya, but menopause, and the accompanying hot flashes, can start in the 30's....

next time you go to your OB/GYN, tell him/her that its happening and there's a test - but I honestly won't vouch for how accurate it is - the roomie is in her late 40's, having hot flashes and the previous moron - I mean doctor - said it wasn't menopause...

I guess so, I never really thought about that. But I am in my late 30s so thats could be what it is.

I hope you are not getting sick. I guess it is possible that you were stressing in your sleep and that caused the sweating. I sometimes wake up hot and I have to get up and splash water on my face and go back to bed.

Since you already stated that you had some pretty heavy dreams then I would guess that is why you were sweating. That's perfectly normal. It happens to me a lot. Also, I'm not sure of your age, but if you are sweating a lot at other times besides at bed time then maybe you are perimenopausal.

Could be the flu coming on or maybe you are starting to join the rest of us for the change of life. But with the dream I would make sure I took very good care of myself so that if it is the flu you shake it off quickly. Blessings

Hi Moneymommy, I am like your first responder, I have these too all the time and mine is hot flashes also. Maybe in your situation, it could be the onset of some sort of infection, or you are coming down with a cold or the flu. I suggest you nip this in the bud right now and start taking something for colds and flu. I pray that you feel better. Have a blessed day.

A Horrible Dream.Yes,it can wake you up hot and sweaty.I also sometimes wake up just like that and it makes me feel bad. Then I just take rest for sometime and again I go for sleep. After waking up in the morning I take bath and go to the prayer room and prays to God to not show me all the bad things in my dream and it works for me.
