Do U Prefer coming up with 10 Avg Discussions or One Good Discussion

Many discussions a day is not worth it unless you get back and comment on al the responses. It's like starting a conversation and walking off and turning your back on the peoplr who talk to you. For this reason I don't start many at all. I like to be able to comment back to the first responses when I post a discussion and if I know I will not have time to do so I don't start even one. I used to average about one a week but this month I think I have started at the most two, maybe even only one.

Hi Sunny, I better start with one good discussion. I seldom start a discussion but i make sure that i am not repeating any previous discussions. THat's my fear of making a new one-- for my discussion to look like the previous discussions of mylot members that maybe i was not able to check, see and read. I feared of being deleted for somewhat a topic with lots of duplications. So for a good one, i make it a point to respond back to all the responses and make it as a true discussion topic. However, i admired those mylot members who can start lots of discussions in a day. I am one of those who responded on to theirs. They are my friends and i am notified every time they have a new one. So, i choose from among their posts and sometimes even responded to all especially if i am in the mood.

I have also wondered how people come up with so many discussions. That's why I have only ever started one discussion as I'm never sure what will be popular and generate good replies. Plus I may end up writing about something that has already been done. I personally would rather just keep replying to posts that have already been started as I find that a lot easier and quicker to do.

Hi sunnycool, I dont know how you all come up with any discussion at all! I guess I am normally a person who participates in discussions. I rarely can come up with a discussion. I do have some questions that come to my mind off and on. But that is so rare! Hope you all wont really mind not receiving any best responses from me. :) I have received many mylotters, and thanks for them. :)

Hi lol, I always create my own discussion. Many of my discussion is created based on "quest of light and energy". I hav many questions about light but i felt that my mylotters may felt bore to discuss about the same theme about light so i plan to change my idea to create discussion about some general things like movie,games and the like..,

It really depends on the kind of discussions gong on. If the discussions are interesting and quality discussion than i don't mind responding to all of them, if i have time. other wise if there are no discussion which are of my interest , i simply go through the posts and go without answering.

I find that one, or maybe two good discussion is better. Most of the posts here aren't really discussions. A discussion is a back and forth between people. A lot of the "discussions" her are posts with people putting up a response, then that's it. If the responses go back and forth two or three times its rare. Never mind a real discussion where you would need lots of short back and forth statements between individuals.

Hi sunnycool, do you mean ten a day? No one could keep on top of responses for ten discussions a day. It also depends on what you mean as a good discussion, I may start two and have one which gets really popular but in my mind the other one is a better topic, but one ends up being in itself a better discussion as it becomes the more interactive of the two.

I'd rather come up with one good discussion every couple of weeks or longer than one inane discussion every day just to get my post count up. I don't like responding to discussions such as "What is your favorite color?" or "What is your favorite shoe style," and I try not to put anyone who reads my discussions through it, either. Quality, not quantity, is what matters the most.

I prefer to post 1 good discussion rather than 10 average. Usually when I post a question/discussion I ask something I really need to know, like advice, recipes, suggestions, not just asking what's your fav color.

I would rather write one good discussion so that I could focus on that and get good responses from people. The whole point of discussions is to share opinions and get information. I like to start discussions that have to do with my life or something I'm interested in. There are ideas floating all around us, you just have to choose one and talk about it! Also, if I have one good dicussion posted for that day, I'm more likely to respond to comments that people make on my discussion.
