Are you uncomfortable viewing the body at wakes?

We have to go to a wake today. I never have been comfortable viewing bodies at wakes probably because I was forced to do it as a child. Are you comfortable doing it?

Hi, there!
No, I am not and I don't usually go even if it is my close relatives. I can't sleep after viewing the body. I often had a nightmare and it scares me a lot. The scene and the face often retain in my mind for months so I'm avoiding it and also I don't eat at the wake.

The final viewing is not something that I enjoy doing but I wouldn't say that I'm uncomfortable, no. I use the opportunity to say a private goodbye and to say a prayer. Unfortunately, we've lost several family members and friends over the years so I've had a lot of experience.
