so that you can clean your wind screen,i tend to alwats forget to fill it up with water when it runs out.I used to keep a bottle of water in my car just incase i needed it.Well i parked under a tree earlier and it rained and what a mess on the wind screen. When i got back home i washed my window and have left a reminder to fill the water up tomorrow.

Hi, that's me, I don't even know where it goes.I ask the nice man at the petrol station to do it when he puts the petrol in, that is fill the water up. Luckily if I'm in town the petrol station I use there does actually wash the windows as well as putting petrol in and seeing to tyres and things.

Being that my husband is the sole driver, he would do this. I have not seen him have water on hand just to clean the windshield when it gets dirty. I know that he puts water inside of his engine when it runs hot..

I had always seen my late husband did a lot of things to take care of the car. He understood and knew "things to do" to maintain the car. My male helper always assisted him when he did it while the youngest son watched. Now, that he is no longer with us, I am, in a way, thanking of the opportunity for my helper and youngest son to assist him in the past. At least, we have people in the house who know what minor things need to be done with the car. It is always good to watch and learn.

I never forget to put water in my car, in fact I don't do anything with my car apart from getting in it and driving the car. Hubby is very good and puts petrol in it, washes it, hoovers it etc. I just drive it. Aren't I a very lucky girl

I have very good mechanics that take good care of my car. Both the place where I have maintenance done annually and where I get gas are very good to me. Radiator fluid is checked each time I get gas. Wind shields can get pretty dirty. Trees are a hazard for sure. Some even drop goopy leaves certain times of year here.

Well, I do not own a car, hence I have no worries about filling up the water in the car. My dad always has the habit of checking the water level of the car whenever he wants to go outstation or long distance drive, he always told me to keep this good habit, so that we can minimize the troubles for the car when driving.

I regularly check the level of my windshield cleaner fluid because I live in a rural area where my windshield quickly gets dirty. When they burn the sugarcane fields, ash gets on my truck, with little bits sticking to the windshield. There's also the problem of the bugs. I always have to use the washer fluid before I use my wipers when it starts to rain.

Every 6 mos. or so, I take my car in to have the oil changed and they check all of those other things, even tire air pressure, radiator fluid...all of that, and it isn't expensive, so that is my way of keeping track and taking car of my car. Karen

I buy the window cleaner to put in my car. My car tells me when the window cleaner container is getting low so I can refill it. I have had it run out a few times while I was going someplace and had to stop at a gas station to clean the window so I try to check the container before the words come on the monitor tell me it is low on window cleaner.

I do not personally do that, but we always have the car checked with the basic things every morning. The male house helper does that. We also have a container of water at the car's baggage area, in case of need. I will share a tip from a friend -- you might try this if you like. It is good to dilute the water with a very small amount of liquid soap so that it thoroughly cleans the wind screen. The screen sometimes looks foggy and oily. The very small amount of soap did the trick for us. But... be very careful that you put only very little amount of liquid soap and have tested the consistency as it might do you harm than good. You might create suds on the screen and might block your vision.
