I know it's to attract new people to join but why can't the people that's been with the "Gym,Phone company, Apartments or all other companies" never get a break
.I seen a new commercial about our cable company,Join now and you get "Cable, Phone and High Speed Internet for $99 a month for a year. I pay $90 just for my cable alone. I've been with the same cable company for 7 years, how come they can't offer me the same deal? Same with my apartment. I just went to pay the rent and seen that they have move in specials for $515 for a 1 bedroom and $640 for 2 bedroom 2 bath and that's only $25 more then my 1 bedroom. I've been here 7 years and never been late on my rent, You think I would get some kind of deal for a month of free rent or something.
. Sometime I think this world is asss backwards. Punish the good and reward the bad.

I'm sure there are some later costs that will come uo that's why I'm kinda hesitant to switch to anything new.

Well it's to encourage people to switch. Many times there are lots of other expenses that occur at those times that would make it impossible for some people to change without some kind of incentive. Think about all the other charges that are involved with moving. First there's the deposit, then the first months rent, then the movers, utility deposit ( about $300 in my area )etc. All those hitting at once can be crippling.
You are right though, this world is usually a$$ backwards.

That's one of the reasons I'm gonna stay were I'm at too. I moved once before in this complex and it cost me $1200 just to switch apartments. I know they cheated me somehow but I just wanted to get out of the one I was in so I was happy to move.

I'm almost thinking of moving into a 2 bedroom because it's only $25 more, but then I would have to move all my stuff and you never know who your new neighbors are gonna be
