I know I wanted to do a lot more things than I was allowed to do. I did play football with the neighbor kid here and there when I lived in one of the several apt complexes during my childhood. Otherwise no not at all. I wanted to try out for soft ball, soccer, or swimming but it was usually out of my moms budget to do so. And now that I'm a parent I can see where my mom was comming from but one does try their best to allow their kids to participate in any sporting activity they would like to try.

Well I loved sports outside of school, playing soccer with my family, taking swimming lessons, and was on a soccer team outside of school. But I never really liked sports in school. I guess I was just always so intimidated by all the other kids, especially the boys who were so competitive and good at sports. I also don't like having to compete with people from my school because I don't like a lot of the people who are in sports at my school. But I DO like sports. At the moment I take martial arts, dancing, I exercise when I can. I might start swimming again because I used to be great at it, but since I stopped lessons n swimming for a few years ive become a much weaker swimmer.

No, I was not a sporty kid back in my younger days. I was afraid of anything since I was hit by a ball when I was nine years old. Since then I didn't participate any ball games or anything which requires effort and energy. I just love writing and reading only, so when my school mates and class mates back in elementary and high school started playing I just stay indoor and read and write.

Yes, I played soccer and I was in dance (not a sport, but it kept me in shape). My brother played baseball, soccer, and basketball.

Hi 3S, I wonder why my classmates and I were so energetic during our secondary school days. We had great interest in almost all the sports available during those days. We never ever feel tired though we had participated in so many outdoor activities in a single day. Yeah, kids and teens are always in a dominant position when talking about physical strength as well as energy. We tried to take part in almost all the sports which interested us I found I loved swimming, badminton and mountain hiking. Therefore we spent majority of our time after school doing our favorite sports every now and then. We usually went to the swimming pool or badminton court in the evening. We could have mountain hiking during weekends or school holidays only, for this activity needed considerable time to be carried out. We did participate in our school mountain hiking competition. It’s really a tough challenge as well as an unforgettable experience Take care and happy posting

I was on the basketball team in elementary school. When I was ten I was 5'4, and when I was 13 I quit growing. My final height was 5'11. So naturally I was the center. I enjoyed playing until I got to high school. Then I got a coach I despised. So I quit, which ended up to be a good thing.

Hi, 3SnuggleBunnies. The only sport that I ever really played was one that was in our backyard for fun. Or one where I was at the gym in school during P.E. I have also engaged in the Center activities one time too. They had summer programs and lunch. I was not into sports when I was younger. Just only in these places that I have mentioned.

sports was part of the school activity in our school. there was basketball, where mostly boys play. girls were encouraged to join in but i guess most of the girls felt it was a game for the boys. then there was volleyball... with volleyball the girls usually play this game. although we do have times wherein we would play against the boys and sometimes mix with the boys. we also had badminton, ping pong and then swimming in our physical education. and bowling once in our college days. aside from having physical education in our schools we were also brought up to play sports by our dad. he used to play tennis, and he, wanting his kids to play the sport also taught us. he used to bring us with him every weekend in the tennis court. there was a time where in he hired a friend to teach us over the summer.but it doesnt have to be done only in schools, sports can be played with friends. people can just buy badminton rackets and a shuttlecock and play the game at the backyard or front yard or in an open area. sports are great ways to learn lessons in winning and loosing, helping out one another, working together as one, teaches kids to be competitive but never be a sore loser. stuff like that and its fun too.. haha

Well, I've wanted to be in some sports when I was in elementary and high school, but I got into dancing when I was in grade 4-6 and became lazy in high school because I don't want to attend practices. But I still enjoyed my childhood days playing street games and made a lot of friends.

hi snuggle^^;; i started playing soccer when i was 13 and in highschool. my mother wouldn't agree at first because it's a dangerous sports but i insist and still played with my classmates and other older classes. they couldn't do anything but just to support and tried to buy me those support like shinguards to avoid much injury. my family has a history of asthma, and by playing this sport which requires a lot of running, i was able to overcome this illness and i think i totally got rid of it. i think we should let the children play their interest specially if it can help them be active rather than playing computer games and just watching TV which makes them prone to sickness..

Hello Snuggle. No I wasn't able to play sports I did play soft ball with my brothers and sisters. We had enough to play a good game in our family....LOL. I have always had a good time playing with my sisters and brothers. But we was a poor family and my parents couldn't afford much. So I consider myself lucky to have a large family to play with.

When I was growing up I played softball, baseball and volleyball. I feel it was very important to developing a sense of how to interact with others, cheer people on and encourage them as well as just developing my sense of self. I am now 30 years old and still am an avid softball player. I play or practice 5 nights a week because its a good way to relieve stress, still maintain friendships and simply bond over something that all of us have in common. I know that paying for sports entry fees can be difficult, but its very important for kids growing up to feel like they are part of something and give them hands on experience to teamwork.

When I was a kid, I played tennis. I had asthma then so I was not at all that active. When I started playing tennis, my asthma disappeared. Perhaps it cured my illness due to the physical activity. So up until now, I play tennis from time to time. To enjoy as well as to exercise. It really great when you do some sports considering that it gives you something to enjoy as well as keep away from vices.

I only played tennis. My mom could not afford to put me on baseball teams and stuff when I was younger so I was not really good at those things like other kids were. I did weight lift though and was in good shape, but he only official sport I ever played was tennis. It is the onliy thing I have a letter for. I still like tennis to this day.

Yeah when I was in school I played basketball and that was in Middle School and High School. Also in Middle School I was a part of Track and Cross Country. In High School though I started to realize that sports aren't really that important and I started to search for something deeper or something that meant more to me then sports did.

Hello 3SnuggleBunnies this is checkmail and durign mine school days i use to play a lot of cricket, was an allrounder in cricket, but good at batting and wicketkeeping.I wasn't that good with an ball in cricket. But with ball was good in Footall, dodge ball, etc.Its like life during school time was just about studies, sports and family. There were some restriction for me in sports, swimming and cycling weren't allowed to me, instead was allowed badminton, and table tennis.Yeah it sounds strange but nearly all sports were known to me.After school still continued with teh cricket, football, badminton, table tennis, but didn't make it to any championship, just that level.

I usually play basketball when I were in school as a kid with my friends. But now, I don't play because I always need to be online for my own purposes. For me, sports do really help to make your body healthy and flexible.

In elementary school i played baseball. Later on in middle school i played on the football team and we won the championship. It is such a good feeling to know that you contributed to a great win on your first year! In my opinion i think all kids should be able to be involved in a sport if they want to because i think it helps in socializing, and cooperating skills and just having fun. Hope this helped!
